THE 411

Sebastian Roché's sexy mercenary, James Craig, immediately caught the attention of Digest editors and fans. The actor first aired as the criminal mastermind behind the Metro Court hostage drama in January 2007. Roché proved so popular with fans that his limited run for sweeps was extended beyond the short-term action tale. In late April, the citizens of Port Charles (and viewers alike) were stunned by the jaw-dropping revelation that the evil Mr. Craig was none other than Jerry Jacks, Jax's big brother, who was last seen in 1999 (played by Julian Stone).

Roché was born to a French father and British mum in Paris, the middle of three sons. At age 12, his family sailed to various continents on a six-year excursion. "It was the most extraordinary formative experience," he says. After graduating from the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique in Paris, Roché ventured to America, where he landed a role opposite Al Pacino in Salomé on Broadway. Since then, the actor has never looked back.

MEMORABLE QUOTES

"Jason and Sonny are bad guys and they're getting all the women. Why not [Jerry], too [laughs]?" — 6/5/07

"You have to have a certain confidence to be evil — I'm talking about the character, not myself." — 5/8/07

"Mr. Craig is evil incarnate, and Sebastian plays it so well. He's cool, calm and collected, but he could explode at any moment, so he always kept your attention, which is not always an easy thing to do when you're taping until 5 in the morning [laughs]." — Natalia Livingston (Emily)
