The 411

Charles Divins pictured himself as a hospital administrator, but the road to that career went in a very different direction when a modeling agent approached the Armani Exchange salesman at a Dallas mall. Divins tried modeling while attending community college. When the job gave him the opportunity to travel, Divins put school on hold. Success in front of the camera pointed him toward New York, where Divins planned to dabble in acting. He auditioned for YOUNG AND RESTLESS, but didn't get the part. However, the casting department passed his tape on to PASSIONS. In 2002, while traveling in Australia, Divins received word that he had landed the role of Chad (replacing original portrayer Donn Swaby) on the NBC sudser. While on the soap, Divins guest-starred on the UPN sitcom HALF & HALF, and appeared in music videos for Kimberly Locke's "8th World Wonder" and Lina's "Smooth." He left Harmony shortly before PASSIONS made the jump from NBC to DIRECTV in 2007.
