After the earthquake, Luis and Fancy went to check on Pretty, who was downstairs in the Crane mansion. Meanwhile, Pretty tried on her new pregnancy pad. She struggled to take it off when they knocked on the door and panicked when Luis broke down the door. Pretty bundled herself in a blanket so he and Fancy wouldn't see the pad. They then heard on the radio that Sheridan went over Niagara Falls in a barrel and was in the hospital. They planned to go to the hospital and wanted Pretty to come with them. Pretty tried to get out of going, but Luis insisted.

In the living room, Ethan continued to work on reviving an unconscious "Gertrude." Ethan wondered why Little Ethan had called his nanny "Mommy." Pilar lied that Little E regarded Gertrude as a mother figure. Ethan stared at Gertrude intently, as if he recognized her. Theresa finally came to. Meanwhile, Ethan was shocked when Gwen said that she still wanted to fire Gertrude. Gwen explained that she felt Gert was getting too close to the children and believed that Gertrude was pitting Gwen and Ethan against one another. Later, Ethan leaned in and kissing a sleeping "Gertrude."

At the hospital, Sam arrested Julian after he confessed to Alistair's murder. Esme and Viki entered the room and were shocked to hear what was going on. "Are you sure he's dead?" Esme asked. "Did you put a stake through his heart?" Esme was proud of Julian for the murder. Sam couldn't understand why they were celebrating. After, Sam learned that the gun Julian had used was filled with blanks. Esme feared that there was a killer on the loose who would harm Viki. Ivy suggested she send Viki to boarding school, which angered the teen.

Juanita and her goon arrived at a New England bookstore, but didn't see Pilar. They then heard the clerk mention a "Pilar." Juanita threatened to shoot the woman unless she spoke, but the clerk refused to say anything. Juanita knocked the woman unconscious and — what else? — vowed revenge on Pilar. Juanita used the woman's cell phone to track down Pilar.

At the Crane mansion, Ethan leaned in to kiss a sleeping "Gertrude," but then pulled away. Theresa awakened in surprise and asked why he kissed her. Ethan apologized for his behavior, but no worries, as Gert was thrilled and not planning to sue him for sexual harassment. Ethan explained that she reminded him on Theresa. Meanwhile, Gwen tried to talk to Rebecca about her frustrations over Ethan, but Rebecca had other things on her mind — namely, dressing up like Wonder Woman. Rebecca explained that she was with a man when the earthquake struck. Gwen didn't want to hear about it. She then revealed that she thought she saw Ethan having sex with Theresa. Rebecca assured her that Ethan was hers.... "Gertrude" urged Ethan not to give up his love for Theresa. Later, Gwen lectured the nanny about contradicting her all the time when it came to caring for the kids. Gwen then announced that she and Ethan are renewing their wedding vows.

At the hospital, Ivy told Esme and Viki that she contacted a friend who could get Viki into boarding school. A furious Viki remained silent as she stared daggers at Ivy and vowed to kill the meddler. Viki admitted to Esme that she didn't want to go away to school, but Esme explained that she wanted to keep her niece safe from the killer. After Esme stepped away, Viki grabbed a syringe from a medical cart and prepared to use it on Ivy. She was about to stab Ivy, but Esme interrupted them. Later, Viki successfully stabbed Ivy with the needle, and Ivy fell unconscious.

Meanwhile, Luis and Fancy brought a "pregnant" Pretty to the hospital to be examined. They then saw Sheridan being wheeled in after being pushed over Niagara Falls in a barrel. Pretty announced that it was too crazy there for her to be examined. However, Luis insisted she see a doctor. She panicked when Luis demanded to be there for her exam.... As soon as Sheridan awakened, Sam questioned her about her fall. Pretty convinced Luis to check on Sheridan instead. She then told the doctor that they needed to have a "talk" and bribed him into confirming that she's pregnant. In Sheridan's room, Sam was impatient when Sheridan fell back unconscious. Fancy was upset to see Luis so concerned about her aunt. Finally, Sheridan awakened and recalled that Vincent was the one who'd pushed her over the falls.

In anther hospital room, Vincent (in Valerie mode) stopped in with his baby to have Eve examine them and to register the child. Eve thought this was a risky move. Val was shocked when she heard that Sheridan was alive. After, "Valerie" admitted to Eve that Vincent had tried to kill Sheridan. Eve was furious with her for the attempted murder; Valerie explained that Vincent wanted to be the new Sheridan.

Pilar was shocked to get a call from Juanita, who revealed that she was in the bookstore of Pilar's friend Carmelita and was going to kill the woman just because she was Pilar's friend. Pilar realized she needed to get out of town as soon as possible.

At the Crane mansion, Pilar fretted about Juanita finding her. Pilar noted that her entire family needed to flee. Her thoughts were interrupted when Gwen came downstairs announcing that she and Ethan were renewing their wedding vows. Theresa, in Gertrude mode, sulked as she watched them together. Pilar was alarmed when Theresa shared that she and Ethan were getting close, even while she was "Gertrude." Theresa then had a fantasy about growing old alone in a wheelchair while a smug Ethan and Gwen took care of her. "Ethan and I made love all night long and he didn't even need his little blue pill!" Gwen bragged in the dream, then began messily kissing Ethan. (Okay, that was TMI!) Back in the real world, Gwen and Ethan debated about what kind of vows that should take, but both agreed to keep them dignified. Gwen suggested he invite his frat brothers, but Ethan warned that if he did, a certain sports event would end up taking place. She was annoyed when Gertrude suggested they postpone the nuptials because it was too soon after Theresa's "death." Gwen then revealed that they could have their ceremony along with Kay and Miguel and Noah and Paloma's double wedding. Ethan told Pilar to let him know if she feels it's too soon. To Theresa's horror, Pilar approved. Ethan was surprised to get Pilar's blessing. After, Theresa was furious with her mom; Pilar explained that they needed to get away from Juanita, so she was in effect trying to save Ethan. Ethan was suspicious of Pilar supporting him and Gwen. Gwen wondered if he was looking for an out in their marriage, but Ethan assured her he wasn't. Meanwhile, Juanita barked at her goon to hurry up and find Pilar. They searched Carmelita's bookstore for any tidbit of information. They found a photo of Luis wearing his Harmony PD uniform. Juanita droned on about how she intends to kill Pilar's children one by one in front of her.... Pilar explained to Theresa how she'd been using Carmelita's bookstore as a fake address, but Juanita found it and killed her friend. She told Theresa that they needed to get out of town as soon as possible to escape Juanita. Theresa didn't want to leave Ethan alone with Gwen.

At the hospital, Sam questioned Eve and Julian about Vincent being alive. Julian replied that Sheridan's story about Vincent pushing her over the falls was bogus. Eve tried a different tactic to diffuse the question and blurted out, "It's a miracle!" while breaking down in fake sobs. Eve and Julian insisted that they knew nothing about Vincent reappearing in Harmony.

Meanwhile, after stabbing Ivy with a syringe, Viki tried to drag Ivy's unconscious body down the hall. "This is what I hate about dead people. They're so unhelpful," she whined. "Valerie" eyed Viki in action and regarded her with interest. She wondered if Viki was the serial murderer and the person who killed Alistair. Esme was concerned about Viki's safety. "In this town, even the dead pop up to murder people," she sighed as she thought about Sheridan's statement against Vincent.... Alone, Eve and Julian were horrified over Vincent/Valerie's plan to kill Sheridan so they could take over her life. However, Eve didn't think either personality killed Al.... Esme searched the hospital for her niece. Viki managed to stuff Ivy into a closet just as Esme found her. Sam wondered where Ivy was, then found a trail of blood on the floor. He broke down the closet door and found Ivy's body.
