Ethan, Pilar and the gang had a bittersweet homecoming after returning from Mexico. They went to the Crane mansion, where Ivy and Sam arranged an informal service for the presumed-dead Theresa. Ivy and Sam tried to comfort Ethan, but their son was beside himself with grief.

Fancy longed to see Luis. When Pretty entered her room, Fancy told her sister that she wanted to see a doctor to check out her weird behavior issues. Pretty discouraged it and informed Fancy that Luis, Sheridan and Marty reunited in Mexico. Pretty didn't believe that Luis could forgive Fancy for making out with Noah. Meanwhile, Luis wondered why Fancy wasn't at the funeral service. Sheridan stated that if Fancy really loved Luis, she'd be there to comfort him. She also reminded him how Fancy had been "hitting" on Noah. Luis didn't believe that Fancy and Noah were back together.

At the service, Gwen gloated to herself about Theresa being gone. Pilar was furious to see Gwen there and told her that Theresa's blood is on her hands. Gwen argued that Theresa got herself into trouble and again blackmailed Pilar to keep quiet. Pilar didn't think Gwen could replace Theresa in Ethan's heart. She also warned that if Ethan learns Gwen kept the fact that he's Little Ethan's father from him, Ethan will hate Gwen.... Kay was happy to have Miguel back home. His biggest concern was whether Kay used magic in his absence, noting that a certain substance showed up and saved his life. Kay denied doing magic.... Noah arrived at the service to be there for Paloma, but she wasn't happy to see him. He again stated that he loves her.

While Pilar and Gwen were arguing, Ethan overheard Gwen mention something about Juanita coming to Harmony. Gwen quickly covered, saying that she suspected Juanita would come to town. Pilar agreed to help Noah win back Paloma. Luis believed that Ethan should be the one to tell Little Ethan about Theresa. He almost told Ethan that he's Little E's dad, but Pilar stopped him. Fancy got a call informing her that Theresa was dead. After, she suggested to Pretty that they not feud. Pretty pretended to agree. Fancy then planned to go to the service, but Pretty told her she didn't look dressed up enough to win back Luis. Fancy agreed; Pretty promised to let her know if Luis called. Later, Luis called for Fancy while she was in the shower. Pretty answered and told her it was the wrong number. She then informed Luis that Fancy went out partying and that she had a reputation for dumping guys without telling them first. After, Pretty lied to Fancy that Luis doesn't want her at the memorial. Fancy broke down in tears.

Pilar urged Paloma to give Noah another chance. After, Noah pleaded with Paloma to take him back.

End of episode: In the Crane living room, Ethan sadly filled in Little E on Theresa's plight. Little E refused to believe it. He insisted that Theresa was still alive — and that he'd seen her.

At the Crane mansion, everyone went to see if Little Ethan's reported Theresa sighting was true. Gwen freaked at the notion, while Pilar spat, "If Theresa's alive, you are dead meat!" All gathered in the bedroom where they saw someone changing behind a partition and marveled at the fact that it could really be Theresa. Turns out, it was a clueless Rebecca donning a brunette wig and Theresa's dress (she just wanted first dibs on Theresa's great wardrobe). Pilar railed at Rebecca's insensitivity and called her a "beast." An amused Gwen, meanwhile, tried to apologize for her mom.

In the mansion's kitchen, Esme had dinner with Viki and apologized for having to change venues due to all the "sad" people in the other dining room. Viki clutched her knife and thought to herself, "It's okay. I need to get my mind off of killing people, anyway." Esme mused that she needed a man in her life for protection and listed all potential suitors in Harmony, deciding that Julian would be the best bet. She phoned him to ask him to join them for dinner. Julian, however, was drunk, laughing about how he thought he was going crazy because he imagined that Vincent was Valerie (ha!). Concerned, Esme decided to just come over and give Jules a full-body massage to help cheer him up. Jealous Viki questioned if Esme was serious about trying to marry Julian. She angrily dropped a glass on the floor when Esme suggested Viki would be shipped off to boarding school after her possible nups to Jules. "You'll love it and if you don't, well, there's a pill for that too!" Esme quipped. Then Esme fantasized about having a picture-perfect life as Julian's wife, 1950s-style, while Viki imagined killing her "daddy" and leaving him in the freezer as punishment for sending her to boarding school. Naughty!

Luis rallied everyone to go downstairs. Gwen apologized to a heartbroken Ethan, who admitted he was almost certain that Theresa really had come back to him. Gwen advised Ethan to focus on taking care of the kids, instead of grieving over Theresa, and suggested that they reconcile. Ethan wasn't ready; Gwen remained hopeful. Back in the living room, Rebecca crashed the memorial (again), saying she didn't really buy the fact that Theresa was eaten by sharks and obliviously indulged in Champagne in front of everyone. Sam defended Rebecca's right to be there.... Rebecca gushed that she was proud of Gwen's blackmail plot, while everyone else shared some memories of Theresa, whose body bag back in the mortuary was, you guessed it, partially unzipped!

Esme paid Julian a visit, dinner in tow, and quickly stripped down into a sexy negligee. They made out while a lurking (and knife-wielding) Viki vowed to not let Jules come between her and her aunt. Jules pulled away and admitted that he was disturbed by the fact that it felt as if he'd kissed Vincent, not Valerie, last night back at the mansion and wasn't really "up" for a romp. Rejected Esme suggested marriage instead of sex, but Jules reminded her that he was a terrible father. After dinner, Esme tried to convince Jules that sending Viki off to boarding school was a good idea; he wanted to ship her off for good. Julian took one of his little blue pills and, with his sex drive restored, engaged in a kinky version of "ride 'em cowboy" with Esme, replete with a bear costume and a Mexican wrestling mask (yes, that's right).

Back at the mansion, Gwen rolled her eyes as Ethan and Pilar tearfully shared memories about Theresa. Then Ethan flashed back to a romantic night as he clutched Theresa's picture, and promised her that they would be in each other's arms again. At the end of the episode, Theresa's unharmed face was revealed inside the body bag.

In his bedroom, Ethan sadly looked at a photo of himself with Theresa. He was devastated that they'd never have that "happily ever after." Gwen joined him and tried to comfort him, noting that she understands what it's like losing a loved one since her baby Sarah died. She then tried to make Ethan remember how happy they once were together. "I'm still here and Theresa is not," she stated. Ethan wasn't moved and was determined to avenge Theresa's death. He was angry with Gwen for trying to get him to look to the future. Later, he had a fantasy where he and Theresa were happily married with a third child. But Gwen then came along in the dream and got him to accept that his life wasn't with Theresa. Back in real life, Ethan was honest with Gwen as he told her that Theresa is still in his heart and always will be. Still, he was willing to be a family with Gwen and the children. Gwen was thrilled.

In the Crane living room, the Lopez-Fitzgeralds also mourned Theresa. Pilar urged them to be with the person they love as soon as possible. Luis explained that Fancy has been acting strangely. They then discussed how Noah allegedly kissed Fancy, but kept insisting that Fancy came on to him. Luis noted that Fancy skipped the memorial service to go out partying. Pilar still wanted her kids to be with their true loves.

Pretty called Alistair and informed him that she's been working on winning Luis away from Fancy. Fancy met up with Noah and feared she had a brain tumor. Noah believed that someone is controlling her and that evil lurked in Harmony. Fancy wasn't so sure.

Meanwhile, an unconscious Theresa was hooked up to a heart monitor in a mysterious hospital. She awakened and found a man standing over her. "Who are you?" she wondered. "I want to go home." "You can't, you're dead," the man replied, insisting that he was "helping" her. He assured her that she was safe from Juanita, but wouldn't let Theresa call her family. He explained that her family is safe as long as Juanita thinks she's dead — but added that Juanita is still looking for them. Theresa didn't understand how her keeping quiet would keep them safe. She realized that her family thought she was dead. She threatened the man and tried to escape, but he knocked her out.... Meanwhile, Pilar prayed that Theresa didn't suffer. Later, Theresa managed to make a call to Pilar.
