Esme had her Christmas fantasy fulfilled when she had a passionate encounter with "Santa." Fancy and Sheridan caught Luis making love to Pretty while under Tabitha's spell. Fancy stormed off, telling Luis they were finished. Kay worried that all of Tabitha's evildoing will do nothing to return Endora and Miguel to them.
At the church, Ethan and Gwen prayed for Jonathan's recovery. Meanwhile, Theresa and Pilar said their own prayers for Little Ethan to fight off his life-threatening infection. Theresa eavesdropped when Ethan gave his confession and complained about Theresa's petty, self-centered behavior during a period of family crisis. Theresa began to worry if she had lost Ethan for good.
Noah gave Paloma a surprise gift that took them to the next step in their relationship.

A tentative Theresa paid a visit to Ethan and baby Jonathan after hearing the good news that Jonathan was feeling better. Ethan remained aloof, wondering where Theresa had been when they needed her. Unable to admit she was with a recovering Little Ethan, Theresa did her best to cover and said she had "things to do." Ethan was left wondering what could be more important than Ethan and Jonathan at a time like this. Later, Theresa confided in Pilar that she feels trapped in a no-win situation — one which will ultimately cost her her true love.
Luis was ecstatic to learn that Marty is finally home. Fancy made it clear to Pretty that she and Luis are back together and that Pretty needs to give up on her fantasy of ever being with him. Pretty taunted Fancy with the bond that Luis and Sheridan share and stunned her sister with the news about Marty. Fancy was hurt that Luis never told her about their search for his son, and she couldn't help but notice the closeness between Luis, Sheridan and the child. Marty freaked out when he met Pretty and saw her scar.
Kay surprised Pilar, Sam and Ivy with Miguel's return. Kay covered when Miguel had difficulty answering the question of where he's been. Kay pointed out to Tabitha that Timmy was right: doing good worked to bring Endora and Miguel home again. Tabitha reluctantly agreed, but was later stunned by a message she got from the dark side. It warned her to stay away from the good side, or the dark side will take Endora away from her again — this time for keeps. Meanwhile, Kay and Miguel basked in their reunion, and made plans for their future with their daughter.

Over breakfast, Tabitha marveled at having Endora back. Tabitha told her child that Miguel needs to keep forgetting about where he was and warned Endora that no one else can know that they are witches or "all hell would break loose" (pun intended). Endora promised to never tell Miguel where they were during the past four months. Miguel struggled to recall what happened to him, while Kay tried to smooth things over and convince him not worry about it. Miguel persisted to wonder where he'd been the last four months. Kay kept trying to make light of things but Miguel was not amused. He wondered if he lost his mind and contemplated seeing a psychiatrist. Kay stepped up her efforts to reassure Miguel and tried to get him to focus on their future. Miguel admitted his future is more important than his past. When Kay and Miguel joined Tabitha and Endora downstairs, Miguel felt a strange connection to Endora and expressed his feelings to Kay. He picked up the phone and prepared to call the hospital to check himself into the psych ward. Kay zapped him and froze him before he could complete the call and lamented to Tabitha that they have to do something. Tabitha said they cannot tell Miguel the truth about them. Kay realized she could cast a spell to remove Miguel's angst. Tabitha warned her about her bad track record with spells. Kay consulted their spellbook for the right one. Kay's first spell caused Miguel to collapse. When he came to he couldn't remember anything — Kay gave him total amnesia. She then tried a second spell — which brought all of his memory back.
Ethan, Sam and Ivy kept vigil over a recuperating baby Jonathan. Ethan lamented that Theresa had gone MIA. Ivy hammered away at Theresa and pressured Ethan to dump her. Sam called Ivy on her hypocrisy by citing all of Ivy's misdeeds and declared that Theresa's actions don't hold a candle to what she did to him and Grace. Ivy conceded that she did "unspeakable things," but insisted that she is remorseful for what she's done and has learned from her mistakes, whereas Theresa remains unapologetic and continued to repeat her mistakes. Ivy urged Ethan to do whatever it takes to shake himself free of his interest in Theresa. She accused Theresa of running off to cheat on her son. Ethan and Sam both rejected Ivy's suggestion. At the Crane cabin, Pilar wondered to Theresa if bringing Little Ethan there to recuperate from his liver donation was a mistake. Theresa insisted it was the best course of action they could take, but she lamented being apart from Ethan and Jonathan. Pilar reminded Theresa that she didn't have a choice. Theresa worried that if she didn't come up with a convincing cover story for her disappearing act that she could lose Ethan. Pilar invited her daughter to return to Harmony ASAP and offered to stay behind and tend to Little Ethan. Theresa tearfully thanked Pilar and rushed out. She returned to the hospital, where Ethan, Sam and Ivy asked her where she'd been. Theresa lied about her whereabouts. Ethan sensed she was lying and called her on it as Sam and Ivy looked on. Theresa tried to cover but got caught in more lies. An enraged Ethan demanded answers. Sam and Ivy excused themselves so Ethan and Theresa could talk privately.
Gwen began to consider the sacrifices Theresa made for Gwen and Jonathan. Rebecca passed out when Gwen considered allowing Theresa to tell Ethan the truth about Little Ethan. She then pressured Gwen to reconsider. After much thought Gwen concluded that she's going to pursue Ethan for herself after all. The two raced off to the hospital to check on Jonathan and Ethan. There, they eavesdropped on Ethan and Theresa's argument. Ethan warned Theresa she is jeopardizing their relationship, and he declared it was over until she could be honest with him. When Theresa hesitated he told her she blew her last chance and walked out on her. Gwen and Rebecca delighted in their victory.
