At Harmony Hospital, Theresa agreed to sign the consent forms, allowing Jane to get tested to see if she is a match for Jonathan's partial liver transplant. Privately, Pilar wondered and worried what would happen if Jane turns out NOT to be a match, and speculated as to whether Gwen would allow Theresa to reveal the truth about Little Ethan to Ethan in order to save Jonathan's life.

Pilar's concerns were founded, as Gwen herself worried whether Little Ethan would ultimately need to be used to save Jonathan's life. Still fearful for Pilar's safety, Gwen insisted that Rebecca call Juanita in Mexico. When Rebecca finally got through to her, she attempted to tell Juanita that she does not know where Pilar is. Unfortunately Rebecca and Juanita continued to have major cell phone connection problems, and she was unable to hear Rebecca. An irate Juanita reaffirmed her vendetta against Pilar and declared her intentions to kill her former friend and all of the Lopez-Fitzgeralds as retribution for Pilar's role in wiping out Juanita's family years ago.

Pretty became upset when she discovered that Alistair deactivated the device he had implanted in her sister Fancy's brain. Alistair unveiled his scheme to ruin Luis' reputation so that neither Fancy nor Sheridan would be in love with him. For his part, Luis walked right into Alistair's trap, as he left to go meet the people who claimed to be holding Marty. Instead of finding Marty's would-be captors, however, Luis himself got ambushed, knocked out and taken captive. Meanwhile, instead of coming clean about her and Luis' search for Marty, a manipulative Sheridan lied to Fancy and told her heartbroken niece that Luis just doesn't love her anymore.

Ethan, Gwen, Theresa and Pilar all anxiously awaited the results from Jane's lab tests to come back, to see if she could be a suitable donor for Jonathan's partial-liver transplant. Ethan express his mixed emotions, conflicted at wanting Jane to be a match but aware of the prospect that they'd be risking the health and life of his daughter to save his son. Theresa appealed to Gwen and tried to get her to change her mind about allowing Theresa to tell Ethan the truth that Little Ethan is his son, and hence Little Ethan would be a much more suitable donor for Jonathan's liver transplant than Jane. A defiant Gwen stubbornly refused, insisting that she's not about to risk losing Ethan to Theresa when another option to save Jonathan already exists. Theresa privately wondered what Gwen would do if Jane turns out not to be a match after all. Will Gwen really let Jonathan die?

Luis awakened after being knocked unconscious and was shocked to find a shaken and battered Pretty trapped in the basement with him. An overwrought Pretty explained to Luis how Alistair took her against her will and imprisoned her there after she refused to help her grandfather in his latest scheme to destroy Fancy and Sheridan. Pretty detailed to Luis the abuse she suffered at the hands of her grandfather, including the terrible treatment she received, the demeaning names he called her and Alistair playing on her worst fears, by telling her that no man will ever love her or give her children. A bewildered Luis wondered how any man could be so hateful to sadistic to his own granddaughter. Pretty appeared to soak up the attention Luis was showing her.

Tabitha worked on destroying Noah and Paloma's budding romance to earn more "evil credit" with the dark powers in order to win Endora's release. She used her magical powers to zap Noah and Fancy to a romantic bed and breakfast. Once there, Tabitha manipulated them into falling into each other's arms and preparing to make love — so they could be caught by Paloma. Meanwhile, Sheridan stopped Paloma and told her she needed Paloma's help as a police officer: Luis has gone MIA on his way to retrieve Marty, and Sheridan feared Luis' life could be in danger now, too.

Tabitha rejoiced at busting up Noah and Paloma's relationship. Kay was upset at Tabitha for "destroying her brother's life." Tabitha reminded Kay that she has to spread evil in order to win Endora and Miguel's release. Kay demanded that Tabitha pick on someone else, but Tabitha refused. Kay and Tabitha tried to outdo each other with their competing magic on Noah/Fancy/Paloma/Sheridan. They finally zapped each other out of frustration. Kay threatened to go to the bed and breakfast and explain the "mix-up." Tabitha laughed off her threat and encouraged her to try to tell them they are witches. When Kay wouldn't back down Tabitha zapped Kay onto the floor, and told her to be happy that they're closer to getting Endora and Miguel back.

Paloma and Sheridan were horrified to catch Noah and Fancy in bed together at the B&B. Noah and Fancy were at a loss to explain how they ended up in bed. Paloma slapped Fancy. "You're nothing but a cheap slut," Paloma cried. Noah insisted his intentions to marry Paloma were sincere. Paloma and Sheridan still demanded an explanation for Noah and Fancy being in bed together. "Did you ever really love Luis, or were you just using him to get Noah back?" Sheridan asked. Fancy insisted she no longer had feelings for Noah. Paloma told Sheridan and Fancy to stop bickering as she grilled Noah for a proper explanation. "How could you do this to us?" Paloma cried, slapping Noah while telling him they were over and walking out.

Luis expressed his outrage at Alistair's demands for him to impregnate Pretty in order to "earn" their freedom as Alistair taunted them via webcam on the laptop. "You're a sick bastard," Luis seethed. Alistair warned them to "get busy" if they want to save themselves and signed off. Luis confided to Pretty that Marty is alive after all. When Pretty excused herself to go the bathroom Alistair popped out of the closet to speak with her. Pretty asked her grandfather what to do. Alistair told her to sleep with Luis and get pregnant. Pretty seemed reluctant, but Alistair persisted and gave his granddaughter an abrasive, abusive "pep talk." Pretty capitulated, and promised to follow his orders. When Luis tried to pry open the door Alistair had it electrified and Luis was shocked and fell onto the floor unconscious. Pretty tended to him while Alistair looked on. Pretty laid beside Luis as he came to. When Luis whispered "Fancy," Pretty began to kiss him. Luis began to respond and took her hand, thinking Pretty was Fancy. "I finally know what it's like to be loved by a man," Pretty thought to herself, as she began to make love to Luis as Alistair watched from the other room through a window.

At the hospital, Gwen and Ethan rejoiced as the doctor announced that Jane was a match for Jonathan's partial liver transplant. When Ethan stepped out Gwen was relieved that they didn't have to tell Ethan the truth about Little Ethan. Theresa told Gwen that maybe Jane shouldn't be the donor because of risks associated with donating from someone that age, and suggested that maybe Little Ethan should still be the donor after all. Ethan returned just in time to hear Theresa mention the prospect of "another donor." Theresa covered and said there has to be someone somewhere on a donor list who may be a match. The doctor said they checked and there wasn't any. Theresa expressed to the doctor her concerns over Jane's safety. The nurse entered and told Pilar that she had an urgent call from her sister in Mexico. "Did you and Rebecca expose my whereabouts to my worst enemy?" Pilar asked Gwen. Gwen insisted that they didn't out Pilar to anyone. Pilar excused herself to call her sister back. Theresa admonished Gwen to tell Ethan the truth. Ethan returned, still clueless as to what they were really arguing about, and tried to play peacemaker. Ethan said he consulted with the doctors and they insisted that the risk to Jane would be minimal, so the decision was up to Theresa. She relented and agreed to let Jane be the donor. Ethan hugged and kissed Theresa in appreciation. The doctor told Jane and Jonathan were going to be prepped for surgery. Theresa, Ethan and Gwen all nervously waited while the two children went to the OR.

Pilar reached her sister in Mexico, who reported that somebody from Pilar's past came by asking questions about Pilar. "I think you and your children are in terrible, terrible danger," her sister warned. She said she heard Juanita has dispatched all of her minions to locate Pilar. Pilar hung up and gave Theresa the news. Theresa and Pilar speculated on whether Gwen and Rebecca made good on their threat or whether it was a bad coincidence. Pilar said she'd do some investigating before they confronted Gwen and Rebecca.

An OR nurse emerged with bad news for Theresa, Ethan and Gwen: Jane was "in dire straits." Then the doctor emerged with more info: "There was a problem with the operation." "She's dead, isn't she?!" Theresa cried.

Eve awoke with another hangover and wondered why she'd been drinking again. She then remembered that she'd learned pregnant Valerie was actually Vincent. "Julian could be the father of our own grandchild by our illegitimate son/daughter," she sighed in disbelief as she grabbed another drink. Moments later, Valerie and Julian showed up and Valerie was eager to tell Julian her great news. When Julian asked to hear it, Valerie congratulated him on being the father of her unborn child. Julian told Eve she was the one he really loved, and Valerie told him that was rude of him to say. Julian questioned whether he was actually the father of the child since Valerie had been involved with Vincent and Chad, but Valerie claimed Julian was the only man for her.

When Julian left the room, Eve told Valerie that she had to tell Julian he was Vincent, but Valerie said she wouldn't tell and she threatened Eve not to tell either. Eve told Valerie that they could take care of the problem before anyone else got hurt. "You want me to abort your own grandchild?" Valerie asked. "I'd be killing my own baby and my own brother or sister." Eve said she wasn't suggesting an abortion, but she wanted Valerie to tell Julian the truth. As they were talking, Julian came back into the room. "I thought I heard Vincent's voice," he said.

Luis, still under his electrified stupor, continued to kiss Pretty believing she was Fancy. Alistair looked on with evil delight from a window through another room. When Luis stroked Pretty's face, she panicked and asked him not to touch her there. Suddenly, Luis realized that he was with Pretty and not Fancy. He asked her what she was doing, and Pretty said when she woke up he was all over her. "I can't believe you would take advantage of me," she sneered just before she slapped him. Luis apologized and told Pretty he didn't know what happened. Luis then remembered that he'd been shocked by the electrical surge, and told her that he must have passed out. Pretty "forgave" him, and they tried to think of a way out. She suggested they make love and get it over with so they could be set free. When Luis said no, Pretty went on a rant about how Luis didn't want her because she wasn't attractive. Luis said he couldn't sleep with her because of his commitment to Fancy. Pretty then revealed that she knew Luis slept with Sheridan when Spike told him to. Luis demanded to know how she knew Spike.

Meanwhile, Sheridan ran into Spike. A startled Spike began to shake as he pulled out his gun and yelled for Sheridan to stay back. Sheridan urged him to put the gun down before one of them got hurt. He refused and accused Sheridan of trying to kill him. "If I wanted you dead, you'd be dead," Sheridan responded. Spike finally put his gun away, and Sheridan told him Luis was missing and she'd give him anything he wanted if he helped her find him. Spike agreed, and when Sheridan left, he made a call to put the word out about finding Luis. Spike later found Alistair and discovered he was holding Pretty and Luis captive. He called Sheridan, but lied and said no one knew where Luis was.

At Harmony Hospital, Theresa freaked out, thinking Jane was dead. Gwen was confused and asked what happened with the operation and if Jonathan was okay. The doctor told them that they didn't proceed with surgery because they discovered Jane had an ear infection and an elevated temperature. Gwen thought they could wait until Jane's liver became strong enough for the transplant, but the doctor told them Jonathan didn't have much time and they needed to find another liver for him right away. The doctor suggested they explore all family members as donor options. As Theresa listened, she struggled with whether or not she should come forward with the truth. When Ethan stepped away, she told Gwen she needed to tell Ethan that Little Ethan is Jonathan's other sibling. Gwen told Theresa to stop hounding her. "Are you seriously telling me that you would rather let Jonathan die than see me with Ethan?" Theresa asked. "You're sick!" Gwen said she would take care of her son in her own way, but she wouldn't use Little Ethan to do it. "You are not going to have Ethan, ever. Do you hear me?" Gwen said. Ethan overheard them fighting and asked why they were discussing Little Ethan. Gwen lied and said she was furious that Theresa would suggest Little Ethan be tested because he wasn't related to Jonathan. When the doctor returned, he told them that none of the relatives that were tested matched. Gwen began to panic, thinking they wouldn't find anyone to save her son.
