Paloma met Noah at the Blue Note, per his instructions. He handed her a red rose. Noah told her he loved her, and they kissed. Paloma asked what private party was being held at the club for it to be closed. He told her it was for a guy who loves this woman. "Who's the lucky lady?" Paloma asked. "It's you. I did all of this for you," said Noah. Paloma happily kissed him, and marveled at the romantic decorations and candles he prepared for her. Over drinks Noah said how lucky he is to have met her because he has a connection with her that he's never had with anyone else. "You are my dream come true." After dinner Noah told Paloma he'd been taking dancing lessons, cued the music and began to dance with her. The dancing soon gave way to some serious smooching, which led to disrobing and lovemaking by candlelight. "That was amazing," marveled Paloma after sex.
Sheridan and Luis continued to use the Internet to search for Marty. Luis was excited when the computer found a match to their DNA. Their luck turned, however, when a glitch in the program prevented Luis from getting into the main database. Sheridan continued to whine about never catching a break while Luis continued to work on the computer. He managed to work around the glitch and gained access to the database, which matched their DNA to a little boy the same age, hair and eye color as Marty. However, the match came from a hospital in New Hampshire. Sheridan became upset as the computer said the boy was admitted to the hospital's ER. Luis found out that the boy showed up at the ER asking for help because he had been beaten, and an old man showed up later identifying himself as the boy's grandfather, who blamed the abuse on the parents. The doctor called the police but the man produced proof he was the grandfather so the boy was released into the man's custody. Luis became enraged at how Alistair has still managed to imprison Marty. Luis then wondered if Alistair was simply feeding them false information through the computer. Sheridan's phone rang. Luis answered, and told Sheridan the caller claims to have information on Marty.
At the hospital Tabitha continued to spread evil to get Endora and Miguel back. She overheard Theresa and Gwen arguing over Ethan. Ethan heard their bickering, too, and asked them what they fighting over. Gwen explained how Theresa wanted Ethan to take Little Ethan to play croquet while Jonathan remains in intensive care. Ethan asked Theresa if this was true. Theresa explained she wanted to see if it was possible for Ethan to take a break, depending on Jonathan's condition. Ethan admonished Theresa for being so thoughtless.
On her cell phone, Rebecca called Juanita, Pilar's best friend-turned-archenemy, to tell Juanita Pilar's whereabouts. Rebecca told Juanita she knows about the score that Juanita wants to settle with Pilar, and offered to tell Juanita were she can find Pilar and her family so Juanita can kill them. A suspicious Juanita asked Rebecca who she is. "Someone who embraces revenge," Rebecca teased, and then told her the name of the town, "Harmony." But interference prevented Juanita from hearing the name of the town, so all she heard from Rebecca is that Pilar is in a town in New England. In Mexico, Juanita was seething with revenge and ordered her minions to trace Rebecca's phone call and send assassins to wipe out Pilar's family. Gwen marveled to Rebecca how Ethan took her side over Theresa. Rebecca told Gwen how she dropped a dime on Pilar. Gwen was horrified at the thought that Rebecca set Pilar's murder and the murder of her whole family into motion. Gwen admonished Rebecca for sparking such a horrific tragedy-in-the-making. She told her mother to call Juanita back and tell her she made a mistake before it's too late. Rebecca reluctantly agreed to try.
Tabitha turned herself into the same psychic she posed as to Theresa at the town carnival years ago. She bumped into Theresa, who recognized her as the psychic immediately. Theresa asked her if she could read her fortune again since she was so accurate the last time. "The psychic" agreed and wowed Theresa with her knowledge of Theresa's current life. She then told Theresa the bad news: there's nothing Theresa can do to stop Gwen from getting Ethan. She then told Theresa there was one chance: an anti-love potion that she could give to Gwen. She offered a grateful Theresa a bottle of it.

Luis told Sheridan that the mystery caller claims to know where Marty is. Luis put him on speaker phone for Sheridan to listen. The caller claimed this was their one golden opportunity to find their long-lost son once and for all. Luis took the caller up on his offer. The caller offered to give his info for a price. "No price is too high to get our son back," Sheridan demanded to Luis. Sheridan told the caller she'd take the deal. Luis stopped her and warned that he might not even be legitimate. The caller became impatient and demanded an answer. Sheridan told the caller she'll give him whatever she wants. The caller demanded to speak to Luis privately, and warned the cop that Marty's release comes at a steep price. Luis kept the caller waiting while Sheridan and Luis argued about whether to meet whatever his demands are. Luis relented and agreed to make a deal. He asked the caller for a specific price. "That's easy, Luis," he said. "It's going to cost you your life." A stunned Luis acknowledged the caller's demand. "You've got to be kidding me," answered Luis. "No I'm not," said the caller. "You trade your life for your son's life. Take it or leave it. I'll be in touch." Sheridan asked a speechless Luis what the caller's "price" was.
In Mexico, a bitter Juanita looked at a photo of Pilar and seethed. "I still hate you. I hate you with a passion that drives me to see you and your family dead, at my hand," Juanita declared. She then phoned her minions to find out if they traced Rebecca's phone call. Juanita was annoyed to learn they haven't been able to trace the call yet. She ripped up her picture of Pilar and vowed death to her and her family.
Pilar went to confession at church. She confessed that if her past secret becomes known, her family will die. Pilar conceded that her faith has lapsed at the times she's needed it the most, like when Martin first went MIA and when Antonio died. "But at no time did I doubt Him more than those years ago," she claimed, when the events of Pilar's terrible secret transpired. "A stain from my past has not been erased by time, or prayer," she cried. Pilar felt guilt for the pain her secret is causing her family, especially Theresa. She questioned her faith and what God's plan is for her. "My enemies know my secret now...is that what God wants? I need to understand," cried Pilar. "I will pay whatever price God wants me to pay for my sins, but please spare my family," she offered to God.
At the hospital, Ethan asked Gwen what she asked Rebecca to stop. Gwen covered and said she asked Rebecca to stop hovering so much and being so distracting. A clueless Ethan bought Gwen's line. Posing as the psychic, Tabitha told Theresa there's an "anti-love potion" she can give Gwen so that Ethan will be hers forever. Theresa was skeptical at first but became intrigued as "the psychic" answered her questions about it. "I'm sold," said Theresa, eager to use the potion. "The psychic" gave Theresa a bottle of it. Theresa ran off to give Gwen the potion, while Tabitha rhetorically asked the dark forces if causing someone's death was good enough to get Endora back. A bubbly Theresa returned to Ethan, who happily embraced their plans for their future together. As they hugged Theresa thought about how the potion would help seal her future with Ethan. "The psychic" pulled Theresa aside and urged her to slip Gwen the potion ASAP. Jonathan's doctor appeared with bad news. While Gwen was listening to the doctor Theresa dumped the potion into Gwen's tea. The doctor told Gwen and Ethan that Jonathan needs to be on a machine to take over certain body functions.
Rebecca tried to call Juanita back, but continued to experience static interference. She decided to send Juanita an e-mail instead, telling her than the Pilar Lopez she told her about is the wrong Pilar, and asked Juanita to call off her hit on Pilar and her family. Rebecca got an error message after she sent the e-mail. She retyped it and tried to send it again. Beccs told Gwen she left Juanita several messages. Gwen freaked out, worried that Juanita may not get Rebecca's messages in time before she has Pilar's family slaughtered. As Tabitha watched from the sidelines, Gwen put her tea down before drinking it to sign the consent papers for Jonathan's treatment. Afterward Ethan handed Gwen her tea, and she finally drank it, to Theresa and Tabitha's delight. Meanwhile Rebecca tried calling Juanita again, and finally got through. This time she left a message on Juanita's answering machine explaining the "mix-up." Juanita returned to her house, took the torn up picture of Pilar, taped it up, put it on the wall and took several shots at it with her gun. Back at the ER in Harmony, Gwen began coughing and gasping for breath, while Ethan yelled for help and a horrified Theresa looked on.

Upon arriving at a restaurant, Eve announced to Julian that she needed a
drink. Julian suggested that she not be seen drinking in public since her
medical license had just been suspended. Eve sighed that her suspension
wasn't going to be lifted anytime soon, so it didn't matter if she drank because her life was over. Julian tried to encourage her to stay positive. Eve told him how she still believed Vincent was alive. She said she was sure he was the one who changed the prescription for baby Jonathan, which led to the ruin of her medical career. Julian asked her to let him take her away to Europe for a while until the controversy at the hospital blew over. Eve was against the idea, telling Julian that she'd never be able to rebuild her reputation because Vincent was still out there waiting to hurt her. After Eve finally got her drink, Julian said he hated to see her being so self-destructive. Eve replied that she hated that he treated her like
she was crazy. She begged him to believe that Vincent was still alive. After
having a few more drinks, Eve claimed that she blamed Julian for ruining
her life by seducing her, getting her hooked on alcohol and drugs and
getting her pregnant all those years ago. Julian apologized, but Eve said the worst part was that he never supported her. Julian insisted that she had to accept the fact that Vincent was gone if she ever planned to put her life back in
order.
Across the room, Spike sat at a table with Esme, who was eager to get close
to him. After the two knocked down shots of tequila, they began to make out
while someone armed with a knife secretly watched. When Spike got a call on his cell, he took off to the restroom. While he worked to close another shady deal over the phone, the armed mystery man followed him. Once off the phone, Spike saw Eve wandering towards the bathroom, and just before Spike turned to rejoin Esme, the mystery attacker stabbed him.
When Esme noticed that Eve had left Julian alone, she went over to
his table to try to comfort him. Once Julian realized that Esme was
hitting on him, he invited her to stay for a drink and they toasted to being
free.
At Harmony Hospital, Gwen lay on the floor gasping for air. Ethan and
Rebecca held her and called for help. Theresa stood on the sidelines, hoping
that Gwen wasn't getting sick from the anti-love potion she had given her.
Tabitha also watched as Gwen struggled and hoped the act of trickery
would be evil enough for Endora to be returned to her. Once the doctors got Gwen into a room, they told Ethan and Rebecca that Gwen had been poisoned and was dying. The doctor said Gwen had been
poisoned with a substance similar to what was used to poison numerous
town residents during the annual Harmony carnival. Theresa remembered
that she'd got the potion from the fortuneteller at the carnival and
determined that the anti-love potion must have actually been poison.
Freaked out, Theresa hid the empty bottle in a potted plant. Tabitha saw where Theresa hid the bottle and vowed that she wouldn't get off that easily.
Back in Gwen's room her blood pressure continued to drop, and Rebecca
frantically tried to get her to wake up. Moments later, Gwen woke up for a
minute then passed out again. The doctors kicked Ethan and Rebecca out of
the room so they could monitor Gwen. Once in the hallway, Sam asked
Rebecca and Ethan if Gwen had any food or beverage before she got sick.
Ethan told him that Gwen had been drinking, and Sam picked the cup up off
the floor and put it in a bag as possible evidence. When Rebecca saw Theresa, she told Sam she was sure Theresa had poisoned Gwen and demanded that Sam arrest her. Ethan said there
was no way Theresa would poison Gwen, because she would never separate a
mother from her child. Rebecca countered that Theresa was probably trying to
separate Ethan from Gwen, but Ethan said Theresa had no need to do that
since he and Gwen were already divorced. While they bickered, Tabitha joined
in and said she was there to check on Jonathan. She'd heard that they were looking for an empty bottle of poison, and she pointed out that a little bottle had been hidden in the plant. While Rebecca continued to point fingers at Theresa, the doctor returned to
let them now that Gwen was stabilizing. As Sam turned to leave the hospital
to get the bottle tested, Theresa stopped him and admitted that she poisoned Gwen. Ethan was stunned, and while Theresa tried to explain what happened, Gwen took a turn for the worse and the doctors believed they were losing her. Rebecca screamed and vowed that if Gwen died, she would kill
Theresa.

Julian and Esme continued to drown themselves in tequila shots. Esme wondered where Spike was since he still hadn't returned, and she told Julian she hoped he was okay since all of her men usually end up dead. They flirted a little more, and Julian told Esme that he'd always been attracted to her. "My darling, you're every man's fantasy," he said. At Harmony Hospital, a drunk Eve went back to her office and whined about Julian not believing her. When she turned around, Vincent was there. "Are you ready for the next step in my plan to ruin your life?" he asked. Eve told Vincent that she was suspended from practicing medicine because of what he did, and insisted that his evil deeds had to stop. Vincent threatened to go after Julian, Whitney and Simone next. Eve grabbed Vincent and said that she would never let him to anything to harm her daughters. Vincent began to laugh, and Eve's office phone started to ring. Moments later, Eve awoke from being passed out on the couch. When she answered the phone, Julian was on the other end. He apologized for their fight. Eve apologized as well, but when Esme returned to the table with more drinks Eve heard her voice and told Julian to "be with his whore" and never call her again. When Julian got off of the phone, he grabbed Esme and the two began to kiss. "We don't need to rush things," Esme said as she pulled out of a kiss. Julian agreed, and they both downed another shot before kissing again. The two engaged in a series of drunken bar games and festivities, culminating in a game of strip poker. Afterward they danced a drunken tango, while someone with a bloody knife watched them from the edge of the dance floor.
Meanwhile, Eve kept having hallucinations of conversations with Vincent, and blamed them on the booze and pills. When Eve thought she heard someone in her office closet, she grabbed a vase and demanded the person come out. When the closet door opened, Eve saw the person inside, screamed, and fainted. Elsewhere, Gwen's blood pressure continued to drop, and the doctors gave her more of the antidote to combat the poison. Rebecca continued to scream at Theresa, and Tabitha was eager for Gwen to die so that all would know she was, once again, the queen of mean and the dark side would return Endora. After a few moments, Gwen woke up again and asked to see her mother. Rebecca told her that Theresa was the one who poisoned her. Gwen wasn't surprised, and she told Rebecca that it was their fault for threatening Theresa with Pilar's secret. She added that if she survived, the incident could work out in their favor because Theresa would go to jail and Ethan would be free again. Gwen then asked Rebecca if she'd made sure that there would be no threat to the Lopez-Fitzgeralds. Rebecca said she'd tried, and Gwen said that she hoped her efforts worked so that she would not have the blood of Theresa's entire family on her hands.
Outside of Gwen's room, Pilar tried to explain what happened, but Sam said it didn't matter since she had already confessed to poisoning Gwen. Theresa told them how she'd gotten the bottle of poison from the fortuneteller and how she thought it was anti-love potion. She said she only wanted to keep Gwen from wanting Ethan, and that she would never have poisoned Gwen intentionally. Ethan and Sam told Theresa that her anti-love potion probably wasn't what made Gwen sick and that Gwen had probably gotten poisoned from some other substance. Before Theresa had a chance to relax, the doctor returned and said that Gwen's cup and the bottle both tested positive for the poison. Sam asked the doctor if she was absolutely positive, and the doctor confirmed the tests were 100% accurate. All eyes were cast upon Theresa, who nervously worried if Sam was going to arrest her. Ethan jumped to Theresa's defense and blamed the psychic who gave her the "anti-love" potion. Rebecca laughed it off as a "likely story," and demanded to know where the fortune teller is now. Sam said he had no choice but to arrest Theresa, but Ethan reminded Sam that hospital security surveillance tapes should show the fortune teller and corroborate Theresa's story. While Sam ran off to check the tapes, Rebecca checked in on Gwen in her hospital room. Sam returned with bad news: there was no fortune teller on the videotapes. Tabitha laughed from the sidelines, commenting to herself that witches can't appear in mirrors or be photographed or filmed. Sam denounced Theresa's story as a complete fabrication and put the cuffs on her. Jonathan's doctor returned and said she needed to speak with Ethan and Gwen immediately. Ethan told Theresa he'd be at the police station for her as soon as he finished with the doctor, as Sam took Theresa away. In Gwen's room, the doctor broke the bad news: Jonathan needs a liver transplant. The doctor said they need to start by coming up with a list of possible blood-related donors. In Gwen's mind, she realized that the closest blood relative for Jonathan is Little Ethan.
In Mexico, Juanita wildly brandished a letter opener as she continued to seethe and become enraged about Pilar. She finally got a call back from her minions. "Did you find Pilar? Answer me?!" she demanded. "It is long past time for my revenge. Find Pilar and her whole damn family and kill them!" Juanita angrily instructed.
