Eve arrived for work at the hospital with a massive hangover. She wrote a prescription for a patient, but the nurse questioned it. Eve snapped. Later, the nurse returned to Eve's office to find the doctor passed out in her chair. Russell woke up to the nurse telling her she prescribed the wrong thing to her patient. Eve felt horrible and was surprised by her mistake. The nurse was supportive of the doc and said the hospital was a happy place to work, so she needed to take care of herself. "What's happening to me?" Eve cried by herself. "I could have lost my license. Or gone to jail," she said out loud, realizing she needed help. She looked at a picture of her and Julian and realized that he's always been there for her. Eve decided to find him and say she wants them to be together.
A groggy Julian mumbled to his pillow (thinking it was Eve) about Vincent being dead. "Hitting the bottle" took on an entirely different meaning when an unknown woman brandished an empty liquor bottle over a sleeping Julian.
Thinking the woman was Eve, Julian started to kiss her until he realized she was Valerie (completely unaware that she was actually Vincent in disguise — Eek!). Val tried to convince him to make love to her. Jules kept pushing her off, but Valerie acted as if she was there to take care of him in Eve's absence during such a stressful time in his life. "What man in his right mind wouldn't want to make love to you?" he said. "Be that man," she responded. Eve walked in just in time to see the twosome getting frisky.
Luis and Sheridan continued their search for Marty. Esme poured herself coffee in the Crane kitchen and thought someone was watching her. Fancy came in and confessed to her friend that she had caught Luis deleting Spike's criminal record from the police computer. Esme spotted Luis and Sheridan hugging outside the kitchen window and tried to protect Fancy from seeing them, but it didn't work. Esme told Fancy to give Luis a chance to explain. Fancy called her man and asked where he was. He claimed he was on the wharf, which was clearly untrue. After hanging up, a guilty Luis told Sheridan he was calling Fancy back to tell her the truth. He dialed (as Fancy watched through the window), but Sheridan hung up his phone. Fancy was upset that Luis blatantly lied to her again. Esme went off about Pete, the cat guy, possibly being the man for her. She encouraged Fancy to fight for Luis. Once Fancy left, Esme tried to trick the person she felt was following her, but didn't find anyone. Spike arrived with more information on Marty. He gave Luis an address and told them to try to "fit in." Luis thought it was a joke, aware that the hotel was filled with pimps and prostitutes. Sheridan told Luis they have no choice but to trust Spike. Once Sheridan and Luis took off, Spike was happy to see that Fancy was following them. "I can't wait to see how this turns out," he said to himself.
While trying to figure out what to name their son, Ethan suggested Jonathan, after Gwen's father. Gwen knew it would upset her mother, but the baby seemed to like the name, so they went with it. They then discussed who to ask to be their son's godparents. Gwen suggested Luis and Sheridan. Ethan knew Fancy wouldn't be thrilled about that, but Gwen brushed it off. She told Ethan that Luis and Sheridan have a huge secret that she's dying to tell him, but he can't tell a soul. He said she can't ask him to do that. Regardless, she blurted out the news that Marty is alive and Sheridan and Luis are searching for him. Ethan was thrilled for the duo, and agreed not to tell Theresa because that should be something for Luis to tell her. She suggested the "old spark" is back between Sheridan and Luis. "Where does that leave Fancy?" Ethan asked.
Theresa demanded to know what made Pilar suddenly change her mind and go from encouraging Theresa to stand up to Alistair and fight for Ethan, to forcing her to let Ethan go indefinitely and remain mum about his paternity. When a tearful and shaken Pilar refused to explain, Theresa put two and two
together and realized Gwen must have threatened her mother. "What does she have on you?" Theresa asked Pilar. "I know it's horrible because you're turning your back on me." Pilar remained quiet.

Theresa charged at Gwen and slapped her across the face, demanding she reveal what she told Pilar to make her so upset. Gwen pleaded innocent as Ethan encouraged the women to get along for the sake of the children. He asked Gwen what was said to Pilar, who stood by nervous that Gwen would spill her secret. Theresa begged her mother to just tell them what Gwen did to make her betray her own daughter. "My happiness depends on it," she cried to Pilar.
Meanwhile, Luis and Sheridan continued their search for Marty. Following
Spike's instructions, they went to a sleazy motel posing as a hooker and her
john and checked in for the night. Fancy secretly followed them and, using her badge, demanded the desk clerk give her the key to their room. Sheridan tried to convince Luis that they make it look as though they are really hooking up. She fantasized about making love to him, then snapped back to reality, where she insisted he make it "look real" while they were in bed together. Fancy heard them from outside the door.
Eve scolded Julian for finding him in bed again with Valerie. Julian said Eve is the true love of his life. He tried to explain that he only made love to Valerie because he thought she was Eve. Julian completely dismissed
Valerie and threatened to call security if she didn't leave. Val excused herself to get dressed. Jules pleaded with Eve to get back together with him. Valerie (really Vincent) was furious that Mommy had taken Daddy away once again. While hiding under the bed, Val changed back into Vincent.
Paloma and Noah shared ice cream at the Book Café and discussed the suspects in Fox's murder. They both agreed neither Kay nor Miguel could have killed anyone, but decided to do their own investigation. They were curious when Kay and Esme arrived separately to the coffee shop. The women blamed each other for Fox's death, then agreed to be friends until one was found guilty. Esme told Kay she has been feeling as though she's being watched at all times; Kay said she felt the same way. The girls came up with a plan to catch the person following them and trapped Officer Jake. Esme came onto him, much to Kay's disgust. "You sound like a phone sex ad," she said to Esme. Meanwhile, someone else was watching the women from behind a curtain.

Esme and her new friend Jake, or "Officer Studly," went off to conduct a little strip search. They decided to engage in a bit of role-play, with Esme playing a hooker and Jake the cop playing, well, a cop. Their game got out of hand when Jake, upon Esme's insistence and after bribes involving various positions in the Kama Sutra, pulled out his gun and fired a shot.
Noah and Paloma combed through Tabitha's attic for evidence that might clear Kay and Miguel of the recent murders. While searching around, the two stumbled upon a severed arm. After the initial scare wore off, they eventually dismissed the arm as fake and tossed it aside, only to have it up and crawl away. They then uncovered an enchanted mirror that reflected the viewer's dreams. In Noah and Paloma's case, it reflected their wedding day. The hand pulled out a "Romance in a Box" while Paloma and Noah embraced over their shared dream.
Sheridan and Luis had to "pretend to have sex" just in case someone might have them under surveillance at the roach-infested motel Spike led them to. The only person surveying them, however, was Fancy. Sheridan kept scheming on how to get Luis to really make love to her, but Luis had Fancy on his mind. Outside their room, Fancy had seen just enough to announce that she was officially done with Luis. Before she could decide whether or not to confront Luis right then and there, Fancy gave Esme a call to get her input. Esme advised her friend to fight for the man she loves. Fancy barged in on her aunt and Luis as they were smack dab in the middle of "having sex" and demanded to know how they could do this to her — especially in a place where "even the bedbugs have crabs."
Theresa tried to get Gwen to tell Ethan whatever it was that she was holding against Pilar as blackmail. She then turned to Pilar and begged her to tell her what Gwen had said to change her mind about Ethan, but a tearful Pilar remained silent. Furious and betrayed, Theresa stormed out of the room.
Pilar told Gwen she was just like her mother and hoped that both of them would burn in Hell.

Paloma and Noah made love on a canopy bed in Tabitha's attic, but were interrupted by a gaggle of creepy shadow people who disappeared just as quickly as they materialized. They tried to explain away all the weirdness that was going on and focused instead on searching the attic for evidence to clear Miguel and Kay. The two sleuths then overheard a faint voice calling for help and followed the sound, only to find the Timmy doll stored away in a chest. They tried to decipher what the doll was saying, thinking it might lead them to Miguel, Endora and Tabitha, but there was too much static to hear properly.
In the Crane kitchen, Ethan questioned why Theresa needed her mother's permission to be with him. Little Ethan interrupted them, upset that Julian wasn't able to attend a father-son sports day at his school. Ethan consoled the boy by offering to go instead, much to Little Ethan's (and Theresa's) delight.
Pilar informed Gwen that if her secret ever came out, not only would Pilar's family be in danger, but Gwen and Rebecca's as well. Gwen dismissed her pleas. Pilar then informed her that baby Jonathan was running a very high fever and should be checked into a hospital right away, which Gwen also ignored.
Ethan, who had been standing by the door, interrupted them. He asked Pilar why she was so upset, but she waved off his concern and walked out of the room. She went down to the kitchen and tried again to talk Theresa out of telling Ethan that he is Little Ethan's real father, going so far as "forbidding" her. Back in the bedroom, Ethan felt that Jonathan was dangerously sick and announced that he was going to call Dr. Russell. Gwen insisted he not.
At the sleazy hotel, Fancy demanded an explanation from Luis and gave him an
ultimatum: the truth or she leaves. Luis made a very resistant Sheridan leave the room so he could talk with Fancy alone. Sheridan tried in vain to eavesdrop on the two but finally gave up, only to find a ball rolling down the hallway — a ball labeled "Marty." She ran through the hotel looking for him and discovered a shirt with his name on it in an empty room, but no Marty. Devastated, she broke down crying. Luis and Fancy heard her anguished cries and ran to find her. Sheridan blamed Fancy for not allowing her and Luis to find Marty when they could. Fancy was left wandering the halls of the hotel alone, unaware she was being watched.
