Fox and Esme tried to calm a "frightened" Viki, who whispered to Esme that she didn't want to be left alone in a strange place. She then "asked" Fox to read to her, so he got onto the bed with her and Esme and did. When she whispered again to Esme, Fox asked her to speak to him directly. Instead, Esme translated that her niece thought he looked like her father, which he took as a compliment.
Pretty balked when Alistair told her to call Fancy to the mansion for his "extreme" plan, but she ultimately made the call. "I'll do it for you," she told him, but manipulative Alistair insisted she do it for her own vengeance. Fancy was so surprised to hear from Pretty that she interrupted her lovefest with Luis to answer the phone. Pretty almost gave away her anger, but managed to convince Fancy she wanted to get past this bump in their relationship. That's when there was a knock on the door, and Sheridan showed up. She couldn't wait to tell Luis that Marty was alive, as she was sure it would finally reunite them. Luis didn't want to hear it, but Fancy suggested he again try to talk sense to her while she talked to Pretty. While Luis made the bed, Sheridan fantasized about sharing it with him, but he called her back to reality. She asked for his help, "to find Marty." Luis felt bad for her but insisted she accept their child's death. "Ever since he died, it's like you've become unhinged," he sighed as he pushed her toward the door. She pushed back until Luis lost his patience, even screaming. Finally, she got angry too, insisting their son was alive.
Pretty put on a good show when Fancy showed up, suggesting they put all the "jealousy and anger behind." She forgave her for "the accident" and a relieved Fancy threw her arms around her, while Pretty rolled her eyes. Fancy laughed about their old nanny who'd spiked her lemonade with booze, unaware that Pretty was spiking her lemonade with far worse than that. They toasted "getting what they deserved" and "happiness." Touched, Fancy admitted she'd fantasized about hanging with her sister again, told her she loved her and wanted to be "best friends again for the rest of our lives." Alistair watched on chuckling and once Fancy started yawning, he called his doctor to be on the ready.
Whitney ID'd Chad's dead body at the morgue. When she was left to have a moment with him, her sister showed up. After they cried in each other's arms, Whitney revealed she never would have taken Chad back or forgiven him for cheating, even though she still loved him. "I was angry at Chad, but I didn't want him to die," she gasped and fretted over their kids' loss. Then she walked out, turning the light out, and went to pray. She recognized she'd turned hard and pled for the strength to tell her son about Chad. Simone brought Miles in and Whitney tried to explain it to the toddler. Then she spoke to the baby she was carrying, promising they'd make it through this and be happy. She knew what she had to do, but again prayed for strength. Then she went upstairs and after hugs from Theresa and Pilar, she asked after Ethan. Theresa was over the moon, confident comatose Ethan had heard, registered and forgiven her for lying about Little E's paternity. Whitney was thrilled for them. When Pilar went to get Little E, Ethan was talking to himself. "I have to get better," he said. "I have a son." Rebecca was sure her daughter had finally lost the battle to Theresa.

Fancy passed out thanks to the laced lemonade Pretty had served her and was wheeled away by a nurse and doctor. As she watched her sister being taken away, Pretty's conscience kicked in and she finally realized Alistair was only using her to get to Fancy, his Golden Child. She threatened to tell Luis what was going on and told her grandfather how used she felt by him, saying "Most people stopped looking at me after I got my scar. You never looked at me." Alistair seemed to soften and, in quite an uncharacteristic turn, told Pretty he loved her and that, because of her unwavering loyalty to him, she was his favorite grand-daughter after all. She bought it, but the moment she left the room, Alistair instructed his nurse to "take care of" Pretty if she caused any more trouble. Moving to a makeshift lab, Alistair ordered a device to be implanted into a still unconscious Fancy. He explained the device would keep her from Luis and, thus, restore honor to the Cranes. The potentially fatal operation proved to be successful. However, Pretty overheard Alistair declare, once again, that Fancy was his favorite. Alistair backtracked and explained that Fancy had been his favorite, but that Pretty had now taken her place. He sent her out of the room and resumed talking to Fancy, who was still unconscious and recovering from the operation. He expressed his desire to have things mended between them, back to how it used to be.
Eve and Julian attempted to drown their sorrow over their dead son at a nightclub, although Eve drowned quite a bit faster. A drunken Eve blamed Julian for repeatedly making excuses for Sheridan's behavior and accused Sheridan of turning as cold and callous as Alistair. She vowed not to let her get away with killing Vincent and broke down sobbing on the table. Furthermore, she realized that she had yet to tell Valerie about Vincent's death and wondered aloud how she would be able to get through all of this.
Julian told Eve that she would get through this — with his help. He then cursed Alistair for being so cold and heartless and for having caused so much pain to his family.
At the Crane mansion, Sheridan convinced Luis that Marty was still alive and that it was up to them to find their lost son. Luis was skeptical and asked how Sheridan could be so sure their child was alive. Sheridan confessed to a
stunned Luis that she had to resort to killing someone to get the information about Marty. She recounted the night of Vincent's death to Luis and the full force of her actions finally caught up with her and left her in tears, asking herself what she had done. After some prodding from Luis, she finally admitted that it was Spike who had told her Marty was still alive, and this had led her to save him and let Vincent fall to his death instead.
Whitney told Theresa she was leaving Harmony because she was shattered inside and had to get away from all the pain and memories tied up with her hometown. Theresa was devastated but supportive of her best friend's decision. The two reminisced on their lifelong friendship through their tears and looked back on all the memories they shared — painful and joyful alike. Whitney left to catch her plane and a heartbroken Theresa returned to Ethan's bedside.

Kay ran to Tabitha's and described the crossing stars she and Miguel had
seen at the beach. She also mentioned the curse that befell doomed
lovers who crossed stars — a story Tabitha confirmed. All this talk caused
Tabitha to be genuinely frightened, a fact made worse by the reappearance of
the face in the basement, which was the same face Kay had seen on the beach. Endora saw a vision of a kitten in the grating and wanted to go down to play with it. Tabitha tried nervously to explain to her that it wasn't real, but the demons in the basement appeared and held Kay and Tabitha captive while
luring Endora away with the phantom kitten.
Eve wanted to tell Valerie that Vincent had died, but Julian stopped her,
saying that they had no real proof that Vincent was dead because the body had
not yet been recovered. Whitney walked into the club and told Eve and Julian
that Alistair had shot and killed Chad and, in turn, Eve brought her up to
date on what had happened to Vincent. Back at the club, however, Eve found
it difficult to cope with the news that Whitney was planning to leave for
New Orleans with Miles. "I'm not drunk — I'm destroyed," Eve told Whitney, considering her life without her daughter, son or grandchildren. Whitney insisted that she had to leave Harmony to find peace of mind. She left to go catch her plane, leaving a devastated Eve sobbing in Julian's arms.
Vincent, in fact, was still alive! He crawled up the cliff and vowed to make Sheridan pay for trying to murder him. Badly battered after having fallen into the water, Vincent nonetheless managed to drag himself over to Valerie's to seek revenge. He vowed to kill her and then his mother for having betrayed him.
Over at the Crane mansion, Pretty expressed, once again, her concern over
whether she was Alistair's favorite and, once again, he lied and reassured
her that she was indeed his preferred granddaughter. He then had his staff
transport Fancy back to her bedroom, where she eventually came to and
complained of feeling woozy. Pretty lied by saying she must have accidentally put vodka in Fancy's lemonade. Creepy old Alistair kept watch over his two granddaughters to make sure Pretty did not mess up his plans.
Sheridan told Luis that all the pain she had gone through was his fault, but then she apologized and claimed she was just being emotional. Luis told her he
understood, but she should forget about Marty because he was dead and she needed to move on.
Rebecca tried to convince Gwen to leave her mystery man and come down to the
hospital to try and win back a still-unconscious Ethan, but Gwen remained adamant that she had already lost him. Meanwhile, in Ethan's hospital room, one of his doctors urged Theresa not to get ahead of herself in terms of
planning for Ethan to wake up anytime soon. He went on to explain that Ethan
would eventually make a complete recovery but because his body had
undergone so much trauma, Theresa should avoid causing him any stress. Back
in the corridor, Rebecca finally persuaded Gwen to reveal the identity of
her mystery man — a revelation that caused Rebecca to faint instantly.

At Tabitha's, Miguel came downstairs to find the demons restraining Tabitha and Kay and waiting for Endora to follow the demon kitty downstairs. Miguel thought he was losing his mind. They begged him to save Endora before it was too late. Before Miguel could intervene the demons disappeared. Just when they thought they were in the clear, however, a demon rematerialized and grabbed Endora. As Tabitha and Kay battled the demon they outed themselves as witches to Miguel. As the demon ran into the basement with Endora, Miguel chased after them and then they all disappeared behind a fireball.
Esme expressed her gratitude to Fox for him helping her, and remarked what a wonderful man he is. Fox asked Esme if he thought they have a wonderful future together. Esme agreed. Fox warned that her prince would be a pauper as soon as his family cuts him off. Esme seemed to have a problem with that, but then she corrected herself and the two got close and cozy. As they kissed on the bed, someone pointed a gun at them from the open door. Fox and Esme made love and afterward Fox told Esme she was the woman he dreamed about his whole life. When he got up to get some wine for them the gun went off and Fox was shot in the chest. Esme screamed for help as Fox lay dying on the floor.
Eve came by to check on Valerie and tell her that Vincent was dead, while Vincent was trashing Valerie's place and threatening her life. When Eve entered she saw Valerie's place was wrecked. Valerie covered for Vincent and said her place had been vandalized. Eve broke the news to Valerie that Chad was dead. She then broke the news to Eve that Vincent was dead. Valerie slipped and told Eve she knew about Vincent's fall from the cliff. Eve asked how Valerie could have known that. She covered and offered to make them tea. After Eve left Valerie pulled off a mask, revealing that Valerie is really Vincent!
On the wharf, Sheridan knocked Spike to the ground and held him at gunpoint, demanding to know if he was telling the truth about Marty. When Spike couldn't give her a straight answer, Sheridan dragged him away at gunpoint. In one of Alistair's secret rooms Spike used a monitor to show Sheridan a playing Marty. Sheridan demanded to know if this was old footage, but Spike insisted it was a live feed. Sheridan cocked her pistol and threatened to shoot Spike between the eyes if he didn't tell her where Marty was being held. Spike swore on his porn collection that he didn't know Marty's whereabouts. Sheridan then asked him to prove that the feed is live and not pre-recorded. Spike tried to get the camera to zoom in on the wall calendar but he couldn't adjust the camera. Finally Spike got it to work and the camera zoomed in on the calendar....
Luis checked in with Fancy and Pretty. Fancy said she was feeling a little lightheaded from the "vodka" Pretty told her she had spiked their punch with, not knowing she was feeling differently because of Alistair's brain implant. Luis was encouraged that the two sisters were getting along so well now. Alistair laughed as he watched everything unfold from his secret room. Pretty joined him and Alistair reveled about the next step of his plan. The two watched on a monitor as Fancy and Luis begin to make out, but Alistair was upset when he saw Fancy suffer a debilitating headache from the implant and Alistair was unable to correct things with his remote control. Fancy recovered from her headache but Alistair still couldn't get his remote to work. Fancy asked Luis to get her some more water. When he turned around to give her some he noticed she was bleeding profusely from her nose. When Luis went to call 911 Fancy collapsed, and Alistair worked furiously to get his remote control functioning.
At the hospital, the doctor told everyone that Ethan is going to make a full recovery from his poisoning. Sam was miffed that the doctor assumed that Ivy and Julian were Ethan's parents, and not Ivy and him. In Ethan's room, Theresa talked to Ethan and kissed him and waited for him to come to. Once he regained consciousness, the doctor asked for some time alone to examine him. Theresa went out to the waiting room to tell everyone the good news that Ethan was out of his coma. "I can't believe this, my dream is actually going to come true," Theresa enthused to Pilar. Sam tracked down Ivy to tell her the good news about their son and Ivy gave him a big ecstatic hug. After talking Sam was overcome with emotion and pulled Ivy into a long and passionate kiss. Theresa returned to Ethan, who remembered that she told him he had a son. Ethan was overjoyed at the news. When Ethan asked to see his son, Pilar went to get Little Ethan. But before Pilar could bring her grandson into the room Gwen appeared with a baby boy. "THIS is your son, Ethan!" beamed Gwen to a bewildered Ethan as a horrified Theresa looked on.
