PASSIONS Recaps Week of June 18, 2007

Friday, June 22, 2007
We opened with Julian and Ivy snuggling together in his office. "You were a conniving scoundrel when I first met you and you still are," she purred. He took it as a compliment. "We deserve each other," he replied. Ivy then went on to note that everything that's happened between them happened for a reason. And so Ivy, too, believes in fate. Seems the time she's spent with Theresa has gotten to her more than she'd care to admit. She liked his idea of doing it on his desk, but she banged her head on an item he kept on it.

Eve questioned Valerie about being attacked by the blackmailer, or as Eve called him/her, the "creature." Eve then asked Val why she was in her office. Val said that Eve's son wants to meet her. Eve then went to see Julian ... and was shocked to see him with Ivy. She called them a pair of pigs. "Don't you ever learn to knock? was Jules's sheepish reply. Ivy insisted that they're in love, while Julian explained that Ivy knows "the real him." Eve called her ex two-faced. Actually, she accused him of being multi-faced as she listed the many different personas he takes on. She finally explained that she was there to give him news on their son. This piqued Julian's interest, but Eve was now unsure of whether she wanted their child to meet his father.

Kay summoned a demon elf, who told Kay and Tabitha that he's the only one who can help Kay find her sister. "He may be small, but his evil knows no bounds," Tabby warned of old Elfie. Elfie offered to help Ka if she helps him. Tabitha implored her to just get rid of him and not turn to the Dark Side. Kay was desperate, though, so Tabby continued to try to talk sense into her. Elfie really liked to rhyme in couplets ... as if he were the Dr. Seuss of the Underworld. He was also played by Danny Woodburn, otherwise known as Kramer's friend Mickey on SEINFELD. No soup for you, Elfie! Anyway, as this was going on, poor buried alive Jess was choking on piles of dirt.... Tabitha halted Elfie's magic. "Go back to the dark, shadowy world you came from or I'll put you in Fluffy's litter box," she threatened him. Kay was upset that her only means of finding Jessica wasn't working and considered helping the elf out. "You can't trust him farther than you can kick him," Tabitha stated. "You can trust me," Elfie replied, adding that Tabitha was a "Wi-otch!" Heh. He then began acting out Jessica's ordeal, gasping and choking and sputtering.... The real Jess continued to suffer.... "Take me to her right now!" Kay demanded of Elfie. Tabby offered to help her out, but Elfie insisted that he was the only one who could do the job. The ladies left, but Elfie vowed to stick around.

Gwen interrupted Ethan and Theresa, comparing them to horny teenagers. She then noted that she's now used to them sneaking around since they keep doing it. "It's like a soap opera," said Gwen. "You catch one episode and then 10 years later, you catch another one and nothing's changed." Ha! Gwen then hurled insults at them, noting that Ethan doesn't even seem to care. Well, no he doesn't Gwenny, which is why he kept cheating on you. Gwen mocked Theresa when she realized that Theresa wed Jared and isn't officially with Ethan. Ethan tried to defended Theresa, but Gwen continued to berate her rival. And berate her and berate her and berate her ... pretty much without even taking a breath. Seriously. "Are you done?" Ethan finally asked. Gwen said she came to see him so they could get their sham of a marriage ended. She also asked to see Jane. "Jane is my child," Theresa reminded her. After Gwen left, she said to herself that she still loves Ethan.... Theresa called Gwen crazy and insisted that she had to marry Jared. The blackmailer peered in the window and vowed to get Ethan for himself/herself.

Kay and Tabitha went to the woods to search for Jessica. Elfie arrived and once again offered his services, but Tabitha ignored him. Elfie conjured up one of those portable metal detectors that people use to hunt for goods on the beach. Turns out Jessica — unbeknownst to them — was buried almost right below their feet. And somehow, even with the dirt in her face and lack of air in her makeshift grave, Jess was able to scream for help. Too bad no one heard her. As she continued to struggle to claw her way out, she felt her baby kicking.... Tabitha and Kay walked through the woods calling for Jessica. Elfie followed them, warning that if they find Jessica, she'll be dead by the time they reach her. Kay finally agreed to make a deal with Elfie. "A very wise decision," he replied, grinning ear to ear. Talk about a little victory.

Ivy entered Julian's office and demanded they get it on. He questioned her, and she admitted she was desperate to not be alone. The cleaning ladies tried to guess which woman Mr. Crane was occupying his nights with this time. While kissing on his desk, Ivy spotted a letter. "How dare you write this letter?" she yelled before reading it out loud. It was a missive asking Ivy for a romantic reunion. She was livid that he allowed her to surrender first. "The bottom line is, you did want me back," she smirked. They kissed and made up. In order to settle their office pool, a cleaning lady was pushed to peek in and see who Julian was having sex with.

Fancy visited Luis in his cell and paid off a guard so she could be alone with him. She broke the news that she didn't catch the blackmailer after he captured her, killed Dr. Smith, then tied up Valerie. "This monster disappeared into thin air," she said. Fancy then told Luis about Jessica's disappearance. Luis felt helpless being locked up. He believed he had a clue about the blackmailer that he couldn't recall. Fancy cried about not being able to help him.

Whitney scolded Ethan for bringing Chad to her parents' house. He explained that Chad got the picture message on his cell phone and thought she wanted to see him. Ethan told Theresa he feels like he's been followed. Someone in red heels approached the Russell house. Ethan tried to convince Whit to allow Chad to spend time with Miles, and said it's horrible to keep a father from his child. (Theresa, guilty, party of one.) Ethan then told Theresa he just wants to be with her. Just as they began kissing, Gwen walked in. "How'd I know I would find you two in each other's arms?" she said. Whitney told Chad she doesn't want him around; she was just being nice to him for Miles's sake.

An elf appeared in Tabitha's living room. Kay was confused and a bit freaked out. Tabby yelled at the him for pulling a prank on her years ago. Kay wanted the elf to help find Jessica. "If you ever want to see her alive again, I'm your only hope," said the dancing little fellow. Tabs told Kay to rely on her dad and the rest of the gang to find Jess instead of risking doom and gloom for working with on the elf.

Sam cuffed Spike in the police station. Noah saw dirt that linked Spike to Jessica's whereabouts. The Bennett men, Simone and Paloma headed out. Buried in the ground, Jessica screamed for help from her coffin. Sam and company arrived to the site, and while unknowingly standing on the ground above her, the chief yelled for his daughter. She heard him, screamed and banged on the coffin. Sam thought he heard something. Kay called Miguel, who informed her of their progress in the search. Then, they heard dogs and went to check it out. Bad move: the dogs had just attacked a rabbit. Jess heard them leave her area and panicked.... Trying to convince Kay to make a deal with him to find Jessica, the demon elf allowed her to hear her "tortured" sister scream. "Deal or no deal?" said the sprite. Kay agreed to let the elf help.... The search team returned to the station and demanded Spike tell them where Jessica was.

In the hospital, Sam and another officer had guns aimed at a door the blackmailer was supposed to be behind. Fancy and Sheridan were thrilled. They told him about Dr. Smith being murdered. The cops barged in when the blackmailer didn't obey the chief's demand to come out. They found Valerie, gagged and tied to a chair; the criminal was gone. Sheridan told Val to be thankful the blackmailer didn't kill her like he/she did Dr. Smith. The gang found out the blackmailer slipped off when a guard stepped away. Sam asked Valerie if she remembered anything about the perp, but she couldn't. A cop told Sam that Jessica is missing, so he rushed off. The blackmailer lurked in the air vent.

Spike covered the hole in which he buried Jessica alive.... Kay talked to Noah and Simone on the phone about Spike taking Jessica. Once she hung up, Tabitha unfroze Miguel, who Kay rushed to help find her sister. Tabs warned Kay against using her magic again to find Jess. "You have no control over your powers," Tabby said. Kay asked her mentor to look in her magic bowl to see if she can locate Jessica, and claimed she was going to call Miguel, but really looked in the Book of Spells for help. As soon as she walked away from the book, a red glow surrounded it. She returned with a picture of Jessica and a candle and started to recite the spell: "Powers of demons. Powers of elves. Help me help those who can't help themselves." She grew nervous while continuing the spell as the friends in the basement growled. The house began to shake. Tabitha ran back into the room and told Kay she can't use that spell. "You'll kill us all," she warned. Kay was determined to use her magic to find her sister. Suddenly, an elf appeared in the living room. "He's here," said a cringing Tabitha. On the wharf, Noah, Paloma, Simone and Miguel ran into each other and were disappointed they had no clues about Jessica's whereabouts. Just then, Spike turned the corner and they chased him. Despite nearly being caught, Spike got away.... Jessica woke up and realized she was in a small box. "Help me!" she yelled. Being buried alive, she begged Spike to let her out, but he wasn't there. He was on the wharf getting captured by Sam.

Julian and Ivy were separately reminded how lonely divorce can be. Ivy showed up at Jules's office.

Ethan ran into Chad, who shared how miserable he is without Whitney. Ethan pointed out how secrets being exposed affect relationships.... Theresa and Whitney shared ice cream while talking about their romantic woes. Theresa reiterated why she can't tell Ethan he's her son's father. Miles walked in. Thinking he missed his dad, Whit had Theresa take a picture of her and Miles to send to Chad. Whitney pretended to send it, for her son's sake; but she didn't want to communicate with Chad. When she wasn't looking, Miles really did send the picture to Chad's cell phone. Chad was thrilled to see the shot of his wife and son. Thinking it was a good sign, he decided to go see them. Ethan felt as if someone was following him. Meanwhile, Whit told Theresa she doesn't want Chad to have custody of Miles or their unborn child. A knock at the door, and who could it be? Whitney opened it and reluctantly let Chad and Ethan inside.

TC and Whitney got Miles settled into the Russell house.

Spike explained to a still-unconscious Jessica why he was burying her alive.... Noah and Paloma worried about Jessica's whereabouts, guessing Spike kidnapped her from the Bennett house. They met up with Simone, then split up to search for Jess.

Kay continued to try her magic to reunite her and Miguel. Tabitha warned her about her supernatural powers causing harm, but Kay didn't listen. She cast a spell anyway. "Miguel and I are split apart. Two halves of one whole. Make Fox well enough to know he can't deny what's in my soul," she said. Suddenly, Miguel was cut in half at his waistline. He begged his lower-half to come back to him. In the attic, Kay begged Tabitha to help him. Tabs was able to get Miguel back together, but Kay asked her how she was supposed to explain what happened to him. Tabby then froze him. The women headed downstairs. There, Kay told Tabitha she just wants to use her magic to make Fox better so she can be free to be with Miguel. Supernatural stars twinkled around a frozen Miguel's head to cause him to forget about being split in half. Kay got a call from Simone, telling her Jessica is missing. "We think Spike took her," Simone said. Kay panicked.

Theresa made love to Jared, but was thinking of Ethan. Her phone rang; it was TC asking her to come over to see Whitney. When Theresa got out of bed, her cell rang again. Jared looked at the caller ID; it was Ethan. "What the hell does he want?" Jared said to himself. Later, Jared and Ethan ran into each other in the Crane living room. Jared informed Ethan that he text messaged Winthrop, pretending to be Theresa. He asked why he was calling his wife. Ethan explained that they share a child and will always be in touch. Jared assured Ethan the newlyweds are happy together so Winthrop needs to stop "pestering" Theresa. Ethan told Casey not to tell him what he can and cannot do, then walked out. Meanwhile, Theresa tried to talk Whitney into letting Chad help her raise their kids, but Whit said she couldn't erase the vision of her husband having sex with Vincent. Theresa made an effort to defend Chad and come up with excuses for lying to Whitney. "I believe Chad when he says that he loves you," she said to an unconvinced Whit. Theresa informed her best friend that Julian knows he's Little Ethan's father and threatened to tell Ethan, so she made a deal with him.

The half-man/half-woman held a knife to Dr. Smith and said he had to kill him because he can reveal his/her identity. The doctor promised not to reveal who he/she is, but the blackmailer didn't trust him. Fancy and Sheridan walked into the doc's office, but no one was there. They searched the hospital for Smith, to find him dead, with a knife in his neck. The women wondered how they were going to save Luis from being executed without the doctor telling them the identity of the blackmailer. "That monster is always one step ahead of us," Sheridan noted. Fancy called Sam to report the murder. But before she could tell him, the chief told her they have the blackmailer cornered downstairs. Sheridan and Fancy ran off.

Outside of Tabitha's house, Miguel protected Maria from the "earthquake." He wondered why only Tabby's house was shaking and why there was lightning during the quake. In the attic, Kay realized her magic went wrong, and begged Tab to help stop the supernatural shake. Miguel called for Kay to see if she was okay. Tabitha asked the powers-that-be for assistance. Finally, the earthquake stopped. Kay thanked Tabby, then blew off the madness to Miguel as a big truck driving by and a storm coming. Tabitha admitted Kay's powers are impressive, but made her promise not to do magic on her own again. Kay secretly searched the Book of Spells to find one that will help her be with Miguel. She was thrilled to try a new spell to "strip away the barriers that stand in the way of her and Miguel" while hysterically waving a scarf. Tab stepped in to show Kay that her latest spell was unsuccessful. They saw a naked Miguel in the living room.

Spike drove a passed-out Jessica to the woods where the corpses were buried. He put her in a wooden coffin and started digging a hole in the ground.

Simone, Paloma and Noah enjoyed fast food and talked about putting Spike behind bars with the evidence they have linking him to the murdered johns. Then, they realized Jessica was not home and panicked. Noah called his sister's cell phone, and discovered she left it in the kitchen. They found footprints and came to the correct conclusion that Spike took Jessica. Noah told the girls Spike would kill Jessica despite being pregnant with his child.

Fancy and Sheridan searched the hospital for Dr. Harold Smith, who ordered blood work on the blackmailer and should know his/her identity. The women argued about which one of them Luis loves. Because nobody was around to help, Fancy took it upon herself to get on a nurse's computer to find the doc. A nurse came by and yelled at Fancy, who said she's with the police department and her business there was a matter of life and death. The nurse found out that Dr. Smith is in the psychiatric department. The girls ran up to the eighth floor to Smith's office. Meanwhile, Smith tried to talk the knife-wielding blackmailer out of killing him. Sheridan and Fancy knocked on the doctor's door, but there was no answer. They walked in and dropped their jaw.
