PASSIONS Recaps Week of April 2, 2007Friday, April 6, 2007 Ethan snuck into Theresa's bedroom and began kissing the sleeping woman. She awoke and kissed him back until she noticed her wedding ring and recoiled. Theresa explained that she had to protect her brothers and refused to tell Luis what the blackmailer had on her. She worried the blackmailer would know that they were together at that moment, but Ethan didn't believe they would be found out...even as the blackmailer was watching them through a hole in the wall. Ethan promised he would find a way to free Luis and Miguel, and he and Theresa made love. Ethan called it "the first day of the rest of our lives," but Theresa received a call from the blackmailer informing her that she had sentenced her brothers to death (for Luis) and life in prison (for Miguel) with her behavior. Miguel and Kay woke together in bed, but when Kay opened her eyes, she found Fox kissing her instead. Kay shrieked in surprise. Fox wondered who she expected to see. "Do you want to say his name or shall I?" he huffed. Kay diverted that she wasn't expecting to find anyone in bed with her: Why wasn't Fox at the hospital? Crane claimed that Kay was the best medicine. Miguel returned to the bedroom with breakfast but when he spied Fox, Miguel didn't enter. Fox excused himself to attend a "meeting," and Miguel revealed himself to Kay. They argued over Fox, with Miguel remaining confident that his rival was faking. Miguel kissed Kay passionately, and he proclaimed that they should enjoy what little time they had left with him facing prison time. Meanwhile, Fox requested Judge Reilly move up Miguel's trial. The judge refused, explaining that Theresa was the Crane who was pulling the strings. The blackmailer sent Judge Reilly a message, ordering him to move up both trials or else. The judge agreed to move up the trials of both Lopez-Fitzgerald brothers "and to hell with Theresa."
Tabitha prepared breakfast for her daughter and fretted that there was an "ill wind" in Harmony. She watched Kay and Miguel in the bowl, but refused to let Endora sneak a peek because the toddler wants Kay to be with Fox.
Thursday, April 5, 2007 Noah and Paloma basked in the afterglow, finally having slept together — literally and figuratively. When they got back into it, Noah pulled away and after much set up, he revealed he had a disease: "I'm sick with love for you," he teased. She was mad, but he charmed her with all his romantic symptoms. "I'm afraid it's an incurable case," he concluded. They decided to celebrate finding love with a trip to the carnival, which happened to be where Tabitha and Endora were hanging out. They too were looking to have fun, but then an ugly witch jumped out at them. Tabitha was insulted by the costume and raged against stereotypes until Whitney interrupted. The faux witch apologized for scaring Endora, but as she walked away, Endora zapped her and she disappeared. Whitney thought Tabby was overreacting, but the witch said she hated people with witchophobia. They bonded over the horror of prejudice and Whitney revealed she'd felt it, "even right here in Harmony." Then she asked Tabitha for advice about Vincent, leaving out any names and major story points. Tabitha liked the idea of something causing pain, but not having all the info, she said, "Honesty is the best policy," so Whitney left Valerie a message. Meanwhile, Tabitha took Endora into the House of Mirrors, which is just where Noah and Paloma went moments later. Shortly after Whit made her call, Tabitha and Paloma both stopped short, having felt a shiver of evil. The light flashed and Paloma screamed at something reflected in the mirrors. Jessica was on her way home, through the carnival, when a freaked out Spike grabbed her. He was reeling. "She's got Hell in her basement!" he stuttered of Tabitha, nervously scarfing down cotton candy. Then he recalled the demons and his narrow escape, which made Jess suggest he'd had a bad drug trip, but he swore he wasn't on drugs. "I thought I knew what evil was, but I had no idea," he cried, and insisted Tabby was a "card-carrying witch." He wanted to report her, but Jessica just made fun of him and then told him about her positive experience in Tabitha's basement. "It was like a vision of what life can be — good and loving and caring. It showed me I could have my old life back. I'm going home again." He tried to threaten her, but she stood up to him and walked away. "You'll be back...or I'll make you come back. No matter what, though, the Spikeman always gets what he wants," he called after her. Ethan complained to Theresa about feeling like a failure, since he hadn't stop her wedding and saving her brothers wasn't looking good either, but she insisted she was the one at fault for trying to go against the blackmailer. She was so sure the blackmailer was listening in that she screamed, "Please, stop punishing my family! You can punish me, just leave my brothers alone!" Ethan sent his own message to the blackmailer, yelling that he/she was a "sick, perverted psycho." Ethan couldn't believe it when Theresa told him to go back to Gwen, but he was relieved to hear she and Jared hadn't consummated their new marriage yet. Then he asked what she'd do once Jared was up for it and she said that, of course, she'd sleep with him. Ethan tried to take it in stride, but he was upset. "Our dream is gone," he stormed, swearing he'd kill the blackmailer if he ever caught him/her. When she was called to Jared's side, Ethan begged her not to go, but she turned away.
Wednesday, April 4, 2007 A furious Fox watched Kay and Miguel make out and planned to interrupt their lovemaking before it started, but then Ethan showed up and did it for him. Ethan caught Miguel and Kay up on Theresa's marriage, the blackmailer, and Luis' shooting and additional charges. Kay figured Theresa's money could fix anything, but Ethan was losing faith. "I don't think even Crane money could fix this." He told them about the blackmailer's apartment, which had been covered in surveillance photos of locals. Miguel was sure Fox was behind it all. In the kitchen, Tabitha tried to work her magic to recall the "pinpoint lights of happiness" that Endora released a few days back. "This is the most evil concoction I've ever come up with," she promised of her green soup. She hoped it would attract the happiness so she could put it back into the jar, but it didn't work. Then a depressed Fox entered and Tabitha enjoyed his pain, but Endora made him smile by blowing him a kiss. "Just one little smile from Endora makes me feel better. It must be magic," he said. Suddenly, the lights of goodness were pounding on the door. Tabitha covered for the banging by tap dancing and rushed Fox out of the room. Then she let in the lights and started catching them, but one got away. Endora caught it and sent it to Fox, who was back to spying on Kay and Miguel. Too bad he killed the light instead of letting it get to him. Sam and Eve prepared for Luis' transfer to the state prison hospital, while Sheridan acted out royally and yelled at Fancy. Luis told her to calm down, but it got so loud Eve had to reprimand them. She kicked the dueling Crane women out, but not before Luis made it clear to Fancy that he didn't blame her for anything. Sheridan stormed off to "pull some strings," while Fancy prayed for God's help. After Eve told Luis she knew he was innocent and would be sure his care was top notch, Sheridan returned and announced that she'd stopped his transfer. "I'm not my father's daughter for nothing," she bragged to Eve and then followed that up by saying, "My family's money paid for this hospital. I want Luis to get everything he possibly needs and then some, or I swear I will raise hell." Eve was so floored she excused herself, but Sam had a lot to say. "I always thought that you were different from the rest of your family. I was wrong," he surmised. He (rightly) accused her of helping Luis escape capture and insisted she was not above the law. Then, he stationed a guard outside of Luis' room with orders to let in no one, especially Sheridan. Sheridan slipped into scrubs and a wig and had no trouble getting by the guard. "No one can keep me away from you, Luis," she smiled. "I'm here, Luis. I will never leave you...I will do anything to make things the way they used to be. Anything. Though I have to admit, I've done some things lately that I'm so ashamed of. I just get so angry...I do it because I want to protect you." Then Fancy came in and caught her, so they reverted to their standard argument. Sheridan refused to leave, so Fancy went to get Sam. When Luis woke up, asking for Fancy, Sheridan said Fancy believed him guilty and unlike her niece, she promised to stay by his side, "No matter what I have to do."
Tuesday, April 3, 2007 At the hospital, Eve told Sam and Fancy that Luis was stable and would recover. After Sam cuffed him to the bed, Luis woke up and explained he'd gone to the apartment in hopes that Rae's letter would prove his innocence, only to find the apartment on fire. "I thought I heard someone's voice that was maybe trapped, but I never did see anyone," he recalled. "Then I heard sirens. The next thing I know, I was being shot at. Now I'm here." He was indignant when Sam told him he was being charged with arson and the bartender's murder. He denied it all and was confident the blackmailer was the one who set it all up, from his escape to the fire. "You're in a hell of a lot of trouble," Sam worried, maintaining that even if Luis was set up, his actions made him look guilty. "Whoever's setting me up is always one step ahead of me. It's like they know what I'm going to do before I even do it," Luis explained. The Boothe family bonded over a movie and then Sheridan again professed her commitment to her hubby. Of course, as they hugged, she thought, "I love Luis more." When Luis' arrest and shooting came on the news, Chris turned it off, but it was too late. Sheridan was set on going to see him, no matter what Chris said, so he followed. When Sheridan got there, she ran into Fancy and went on the attack. "I should have known. Luis is here because of you!" she screamed. Later, she asked, "Are you trying to top what you did to Pretty?" When they went in to see Luis, she made sure he knew Fancy shot him, but Fancy felt worse about that than Luis. Sheridan then talked of getting him into a private room, but Sam dropped the bomb that he was being moved to the state pen hospital. Sheridan turned on Fancy again, raging against her in front of everyone. "If anything happens to Luis, I swear I will hold you responsible," she growled. "And trust me, you do not want that." Ethan and Theresa entered the blackmailer's apartment, but it had already been cleared out. Theresa wasn't surprised. They noted the blackmailer seemed as clued into everything as Alistair used to be, but Ethan didn't think the old man was back. He wanted to get a forensic expert over to find a clue and insisted he'd do what he must to be with Theresa. Theresa was ready to give up, but Ethan wouldn't let her. He filled her in on his kidnapping and that he/she kissed him. "It wanted me in the worst possible way," he said. "And it also wanted revenge," but Ethan didn't know what for. He then told her that Luis didn't want her to sacrifice her happiness for him, but the new Mrs. Casey said it was too late. They were making out less then a breath later, but things were cut short when the blackmailer called and said he/she knew they were there and ordered her back to Jared. Ethan refused to let her go, insisting this was their time, but she gave him all the excuses he used to give her about Gwen — plus the blackmailer's threats. "This time Ethan gets what he wants," Ethan insisted and kissed her. She turned and ran out.
Monday, April 2, 2007 Whitney, meanwhile, wondered after Chad, who had excused himself to take a business call after the ceremony and not returned. Instead, he was off with Vincent, who had actually been the one who called. Chad tried to stay way, but Vincent threatened to send a sex DVD to Whitney if Chad didn't get to their love nest ASAP. When Whitney asked a nurse about Chad, he begrudgingly revealed he'd heard him on the phone, saying "something about a motel." She decided to check it out for herself. As she rushed to the scene, Chad was having a fit. He threw a glass at the wall and stormed at Vincent, who just wanted to get his clothes off. He wouldn't take no for an answer, so Chad punched him out. Unfazed and even more turned on, Vincent cooed, "You're addicted to me, Chad. You're a junkie. Now, you can try to stay away, but you always come back because you can't do without it." Chad let himself be pulled onto the bed and got into it. Poor Whitney heard his voice through the door, so she tipped a housekeeper to unlock it. When she opened it, the room was empty. She banged on the bathroom door and yelled, "I know you're in there and I'm not leaving here till you come out, right now. You hear me? This thing ends tonight." A nervous Chad hustled back into his clothes. Fancy cried over Luis' prostrate body, believing she'd shot and killed him. Sam wanted to know how he'd gotten out of jail to begin with and was relieved to find a weak pulse. Then the dead bartender was pulled out and Simone, who had been there to get a message from the bartender, spied Luis. She was sure he'd murdered her source. She said she's seen him with the torch and insisted he deserved to die. She raged on as the paramedics worked on Luis. Sam ordered her to calm down and leave him to do his job. Then he called Fancy aside and questioned her about Luis' escape. She swore her innocence, even though she was the last officer to visit him. When the group got to the hospital, Simone continued her tirade about Luis' guilt. It only got worse when his clothes came back stinking of gasoline, but then she said she saw "a person" in the apartment with a torch (not Luis specifically). Sam said it was all circumstantial so Simone stormed off, leaving the cops to worry. "Things keep going from bad to worse," Fancy noted, and Sam agreed that his pal was looking guiltier every minute. Problem was, it would all be moot if Eve failed to remove the bullet that was killing him.
