PASSIONS Recaps Week of March 19, 2007

Friday, March 23, 2007
Whitney stopped by Theresa's office before Rae's funeral. Theresa caught her up on her evening with Ethan and bemoaned the fact that she could never be with him. She was glad that at least she had a "reprieve" as long as Jared was in the hospital, but that wouldn't last long since Jared was at that moment blackmailing two-timing Chad into getting him out. Then Whitney told her about Chad's sleep talking and the mysterious phone call that had called him away, which made her suspicious (because she didn't know it had been Jared calling). Whitney then told Theresa about her morning sessions with Chad. "It was good, but it wasn't gentle or tender in any way." Theresa figured she was just turning him on, but Whitney "sensed some desperation in him." She felt he was trying to prove something to her. Theresa said she wished she had the same problems, instead of her own. Jared, meanwhile, needed a break halfway through the hall, so the guys talked about Chad's affair. Chad revealed he felt equally bad about having the affair as he did about having it with a man. Then the nurse showed up and demanded to know where Jared was going, but somehow, the guys got past her and surprised Theresa and Whitney. Jared raved about marrying her and said Judge Reilly wasn't far behind.

Ethan chatted his dad up before going to see his client, Luis. They discussed Theresa's blackmailer and wondered after her secret. Sam was sure they'd find their way back to each other, but Ethan feared that, "by the time I figure this whole thing out, she's going to be married to Jared." Meanwhile, angry Fancy told Luis she'd seen him in bed with Sheridan, which made eavesdropping Sheridan very happy. Luis did admit they kissed, but insisted "it was not a romantic kiss." He said it was a kiss of grief and closure and kept swearing he loved Fancy. Fancy felt she couldn't trust anyone anymore and stormed off, only to run into Sheridan, who pretended she'd just gotten there. "You're timing couldn't have been better," Fancy said, and slapped her across the face. She told her off in front of Luis and as always, Sheridan denied all. "Told you," Luis said to Fancy, and his decision to take Sheridan's word over hers was too much. "Congratulations Sheridan, he's buying," she said. "You two can have each other." She stormed out, interrupting Sam and Ethan's chat. The Chief reminded her she had to clock in soon and then Fancy vented to Ethan. "All those years she rejected what being a Crane meant, it turns out she must have been taking notes," she stormed. He didn't believe Sheridan would use Marty to get Luis, but gave Fancy a chance to explain herself. She swore Sheridan had changed. "When a Cane loses something… they fight like mad dogs to get it back."

Sheridan told Luis Fancy's outburst made her more certain she wasn't right for him. She pretended to empathize with her niece and worry that she was "headed for a breakdown." Luis ended the convo, asking Sheridan to find Ethan and reassure Fancy that nothing was going on. "What else would I tell her?" Sheridan lied. Then she walked out and found Ethan. Sam passed on his way out to funeral and gave Ethan a package that had been delivered for him. It was news that the DA was going for the death penalty!

When Miguel and Tabitha finished their conversation about Fox, Tabby concluded, "If Fox is lying, the truth will come out in the end." After Miguel went upstairs, Tabitha was excited about "celebrating another death." She told Endora what they would miss since they couldn't go into the church. Then she remembered the funeral her mother took her too where her mother made the corpse sit up in the middle of the service. Upstairs, Kay and Fox made love and cuddled until Miguel interrupted. She told Miguel she'd be down to take the kids to the funeral soon, but before Miguel left, Fox showed him some of the hair that had fallen out of his head. While Kay showered up, Fox called his dad twice in a semi-panic, confused that his hair was falling out, yet he wasn't impotent. He wanted to know what the nurse had given him instead of the placebo and it looked like Miguel overheard, but then he didn't say anything. Later, after Fox insisted on joining them at the funeral, he passed out.

Kay and Miguel reveled in waking up in the same bed, but when Kay mentioned Fox, Miguel shrugged, "We can start planning our wedding as soon as we bury him." She then saw a dead Fox in a coffin and awoke screaming... next to Fox. Fox, who wasn't feeling well and was sure the nurse had given him the real drug instead of a placebo, asked about her dream. She admitted she'd dreamed of his death, but he didn't want to talk about that. He reminded her that he was taking these horrible treatments for her and called he called her his "loyal" angel. Then he started making out with her, but she jumped when she realized he wasn't impotent. "If you're really taking those treatments, there's no way you'd be able to make love to me! What's going on?" she demanded.

Miguel played with the kids and then helped Tabitha get their breakfast together. He was upset Kay had turned back to Fox, but had to admit he was starting to doubt Fox was faking his illness. He wondered what else he might have been wrong about. To little Maria's chagrin, Endora wouldn't let Tabitha tell him the truth about Fox's illness. Tabitha turned the convo to the Charity/Miguel imposters. Miguel figured Julian could have been behind everything, so Tabitha asked him if that meant he had in fact run Fox down. Miguel insisted he was "falsely accused," but suggested IDing him was an innocent mistake on Fox' part.

In jail, Luis dreamed of kissing Sheridan and moaned her name just as Fancy brought his breakfast. She gave him an abrupt wakeup and dropped his meal on the table. Luis assumed she was worried about him and feeling guilty, but she was quick to tell him he was wrong. Then he talked of how much he loved her, which made her recall his kiss with Sheridan. Later, when he said he wanted to be with her, she wouldn't let him touch her. He got concerned, then mad and then recalled their fun times in that very jail cell. She rolled her eyes and after more misunderstanding, she cried that he didn't love her and that, "Behind that sincere smile of yours, you're the worst liar I've ever met." He was flabbergasted, confused and angry. "They only reason I've risked everything and thrown away my career is because I'm crazy in love with you!" he groaned, but she countered, "I saw you making love to Sheridan!" He was even more confused, but she wouldn't listen to his denials. She said that if he would lie about loving her, "you're probably lying when you say you aren't my attacker."

Sheridan happily produced a fresh baked coffee cake for her hubby and bragged at what a cook she'd become. All Chris wanted to talk about was Luis and why Sheridan had helped him. "The general consensus is basically that I'm a prize fool married to woman who can't wait to get to her former lover," he grumbled. She apologized and called Luis her "best friend." Chris stormed that he'd leave with his son if she wanted Luis, which of course got her in a panic. Little James wasn't too happy to overhear that either, but Sheridan promised that she would never leave him. While the kid ate cake, Chris accused Sheridan of being like Alistair and only caring about her own wants. She insisted she was all Luis had, especially as Fancy's exes all regretted their relationships with her. She then told him that as a Crane, she could walk away from him anytime she wanted and get what she wanted, but "I don't want anything to change." Her gushy monologue about feeding James, doing the laundry and wanting to be a great wife eventually convinced Chris that she loved him and "there's only you". Of course, as they hugged to make up, she was looking at a photo of Luis and when Chris left to take James to school, she headed straight out to see Luis.

Over breakfast at the manse, Little E asked Theresa when she was going to marry Ethan, who walked in to say he wanted to know too. Theresa brushed the question off and pulled Ethan aside. She told him to keep the kids out of it and then they went back to the "tell me your secret" argument, followed by Ethan warning her that Luis' escape machinations might land him in jail for life. She was relieved when Little E came in with his sister. After she told them everything would be okay, Ethan took the kids to school/day care. Left alone, she cried about her situation.

Tabitha's magic sent many into a lovemaking panic. Unfortunately for Ivy, she and Sam were interrupted by a call from the police station. The magic didn't seem to affect Fancy, but Luis was surprisingly pleased at being held at gunpoint. Sheridan made smart comments about Fancy acting out of jealousy, but Luis praised, "Fancy's only doing her job." Before Fancy could consider standing down, Sam showed up to back her up. He insisted he had to take Luis to jail, regardless of his belief in Luis' innocence. When Luis again praised Fancy, she scowled at him. Then Sam cuffed him and they left the girls to fight it out. Ultimately, Fancy stormed out, saying Sheridan could have Luis. Luis and Sam, meanwhile, argued about how Luis was handling his situation and Luis admitted that when he considered all the evidence, "I start thinking that I'm guilty, too." Then he spied Fancy and again praised her. He added that with the death penalty or life in prison in his future, "I think you made the right choice to end us." A watching Sheridan was all smiles.

On the wharf, Noah worried over his sister and felt guilty, but Paloma urged him not to lose hope. Jessica and Spike followed shortly after and he told Jess the duo was using her to get to each other. Then he insisted she get to work, but she stood up for herself. "Pimping me isn't protecting me," she insisted. He tried all of his angles, but she didn't agree until he talked about how much harder life would be on her own. Still, she gave him attitude when he kissed her, smirking, "Why should I give it away for free?" She backed down when he threatened to hit her. Then they found a sleazy john and Spike gave him permission to smack her around. Once back at the Bennett pad, meanwhile, Paloma and Noah continued to worry and Paloma prayed to God to help Jessica. Then they cuddled by the fireplace and commiserated. Later, Noah joined Paloma for the end of Out of Africa. The movie was a fave of hers and she was impressed that he knew the whole story. He said it was one of his favorite books and that he cried his eyes out the first time. Then he made a joke about his con artist past and when she said he'd grown up, he referenced getting his heart broken. "Is that why you fight so hard against getting serious with me? You think I'll break your heart?" she asked. He said he cared about her but didn't want to rush things. She told him he worried too much and they kissed. Things were heating up when Jessica came to the window. "I'll never have a love like that. I wish I'd never been born," she bemoaned.

Ethan and Theresa were already enjoying each other, but when they were done making love, Theresa called their session "magical." Then they argued about the blackmailer. Theresa insisted Ethan had to do the blackmailer's bidding to save her brothers. Ethan felt that together they could beat the mystery person, but that meant she had to tell him her big secret, which she wouldn't do. He begged her for the truth and accused her of "blowing" their moment after all these years of waiting to be together. She almost gave in, but then she remembered the blackmailer's threats. She tearfully got out of bed and asked him to trust her. "How about trusting me?" he countered and when she wouldn't, he stormed away. Eavesdropping Ivy was thrilled to hear the tail end of the argument and begged Ethan to fill her in. "Theresa's ruined my life for the millionth time and I'm gone," he said. Ivy thanked her and gloated, sure Theresa had finally gone too far.

Chad came on strong with Whitney, who liked his new approach. She wouldn't have been as into it, though, if she'd known he was thinking of Vincent the whole time! Chad was thrown when he suddenly remembered who he was in bed with and stopped cold. She asked why he was saying her name "like you were surprised I was here," and noted how different he was. "It just seemed like tonight, you were a different man." She then surmised that it was about Vincent, which scared him. Of course, she only meant he was trying to "keep up with" Vincent after all of Valerie's raves about his lovemaking skills. Chad was a bit ticked off and threw himself back to proving his love to his wife. When they went to bed, Chad imagined Vincent was there and went on to dream about Vincent. "Whitney can never know," he said in his sleep and she heard.

Theresa overheard Ethan and Sam fuming over the time they'd lost together because of Ivy's lie, but she remained committed to keeping her secret about Little E's paternity. The guys came out to talk to her and she was relieved to hear Luis had escaped capture again. Then Sam left to check on Fancy, so Ethan started in about Theresa marrying Jared. Talk soon turned to Luis and who was helping him. Ethan imagined Luis wouldn't want his freedom to cost Theresa her happiness. "You have a history of not making the best decisions in the world, Theresa, and if you decide to marry Jared because someone's blackmailing you to do it, that could possibly be the worst decision of your life," Ethan demanded. "Now, for the love of God, will you tell me what the blackmailer has on you, please?" She ran to her room, but finally told him that the blackmailer wanted him. He was confused, but also touched that "everything you've done, you've done for me." He professed his love and they started going at it.

Fancy was crushed that her surveillance found Sheridan and Luis in bed together. Luis thought he was keeping his ex company, but she was working it for Fancy's benefit. She even found a reason to kiss Luis on the cheek and later the couple remembered a romantic moment in a flashback. A furious Fancy wasn't fooled, but she was still worried her aunt's tricks would work on Luis. When Sam and Ivy both joined her, Fancy lied about what she knew. Ivy could see that she was lying, but Sam was on the wrong side of the computer. Before leaving, Sam warned that Fancy wouldn't get a badge if she lied for Luis. When she got back to watching, Luis was telling Sheridan that he felt he was "betraying Fancy." Sheridan teasingly asked him, "What are you afraid of? That we share one, innocent goodnight kiss that erupts into uncontrollable passion?" Then she kissed him once, which turned into a session. Ivy blamed Sheridan and so did Fancy, who ran out of the room. Of course, that's when Luis pulled away. "I appreciate that you're helping me try and get free and all, but, you know, if payback means that I have to betray Fancy, then I'm out," he insisted and left the room. After they got dressed, Sheridan apologized. Then she asked what happens "if we have to be on the run for the rest of our lives?" Before he could answer, Fancy burst in with her gun pulled and told Luis he was under arrest.

When Sam returned and asked after Fancy, Ivy shrugged him off. The two ended up bickering. Ivy begged for another chance, which offended him. He told her it would never happen, raging about all she'd done until she lost it and said she would take her own life. He fought to stop her.

Miguel and Kay were on cloud nine, thanks to Tabitha's magic, but then Fox called from the hospital and said he was coming home. Miguel figured that gave Kay the perfect opportunity to tell Fox the truth and when Fox arrived, Tabitha was relieved Endora wasn't awake to stick her wand into things. Fox went straight up to Kay, while Miguel hid in the closet. Fox's hands were all over Kay, but her responses quickly clued him in to what she had on her mind, so he laid on the loving, dying husband shtick. He raved about what a great wife she was and then "accidentally" showed her that he was losing his hair. Miguel feared she'd lose her nerve, and he was right to worry. He came out when Fox went to get champagne and Kay backed out of her promise to be with him.

When Endora awoke, Tabitha tried to distract her with a snack, but it was a jar of light in the cupboard that caught the witchling's eye. Tabitha told her to forget about it, "because releasing its contents would cause a calamity of catastrophic proportions." Endora didn't hesitate to open the jar, releasing a "burst of bliss." Tabitha scolded, "That was happiness. I've been holding it hostage for generations." The "burst of bliss" swept through town, making Sam throw Ivy passionately over the desk and touching all the other locals as well.

Tabitha was thrilled to see Miguel and Kay making "nonstop nookie," but Fox-loving Endora didn't agree and zapped her mother for reveling in it. Tabby insisted it was too late, so Endora got out her own wand. While Kay and Miguel basked in the glow of making "magical" love and then went for another round, Tabitha tried to talk Endora into staying out of it. Instead, the witchling sent a shot of magic up the stairs. It hit Kay, who immediately jumped out of bed and squealed that she couldn't cheat on her hubby. Tabitha gave her daughter a time out and a lecture. Then she tried to send Cupid upstairs with an arrow, but naughty Endora intercepted it with her own magic. Lucky for Tabitha, Endora fell asleep and her next spell found Kay in the shower. Kay quickly went from washing away her guilt to sharing a steamy makeout session with Miguel. After the shower, Kay said she was going to tell Fox the truth. She was worried about Fox being too weak from his treatment, but Tabitha used more magic to make her say that she'd tell Fox "now."

Ethan told Sam and Fancy that he had to find Luis and clear the Lopez-Fitzgerald boys, so that Theresa could be with him instead of Jared. Fancy admitted her part in Luis getting away, but insisted she didn't know who was helping him hide. Sam wanted to get into Alistair's files, so Ethan took a stab at guessing the password. When Sam mentioned the fact that Alistair might have the whole town under surveillance, Fancy revealed he was correct, and that she'd spied on locals with her grandfather. The guys hoped they could get into the computer and "use Alistair's evil to our advantage." When they left Fancy to try and guess the password, she had it in four tries. Ethan and Sam had a father/son chat and rehashed Theresa and her blackmail situation, while Fancy perused her grandfather's files. She got distracted by his spy cameras in Hollywood, but then honed in on local spots.

At the cabin, shirtless Luis supported a sheet-clad Sheridan in bed, until that turned into a kiss. He pulled away and she admitted she missed him. "I just couldn't help myself," she confessed and he understood, but insisted they couldn't cheat on their loved ones. After he left her, Sheridan sighed that she wanted him back. When he returned, they "agreed" it was best they had stopped. She went to slip into her old robe, but the pair ended up back on the bed together. Sheridan then spied the video camera and hoping Fancy was watching, she decided to give her an eyeful. She asked Luis to get into bed and hold her until she fell asleep. Of course, that's just how Fancy found them and with their tops bare, it looked as though she'd caught them doing more than she had.

At the hospital, Jared told Theresa he'd been medically cleared and was ready for a second run at marrying her. When he lost his breath talking about it, she pressed him to admit he hadn't been cleared. "I'm afraid if I don't marry you now, you might change your mind," he explained, so she promised she'd be there for him when he'd recovered. She crawled into bed with him until he fell asleep. Before leaving, she apologized to her sleeping fiancé for using him. Then she arrived just in time to hear the tail end of Ethan and Sam's chat. Sam revealed he was still angry about being kept out of Ethan's life for so long, to which Ethan replied, "If I had a son and I didn't know it, and the mother kept me from being a father to the child, I don't know if I'd ever get over it."

Jessica was grossed out by the mess when Spike got her home. There was even a dead and half-eaten rat in the corner! Spike suggested cleaning it later, but was first going to make her tea. He insisted he was the only one who'd stayed by her, but then Paloma and Noah arrived to prove him wrong. Everyone argued over Jessica until she told Noah and Paloma to leave. She insisted she belonged with Spike, so they left after swearing they'd be there for her if she changed her mind.
