After Gus's funeral, everyone gathered at Company for a gathering in his honor. Frank handed out beers and they toasted to their departed friend. At Cedars, however, Olivia remained in a deep post-transplant depression. Ava and Sam tried to cheer her up, to no avail. Later, Olivia threw Ava out of her room. Alone, Liv broke down when she eyed the program for Gus's funeral.
Harley and Cyrus arrived at Gus's lively wake; Harley was miffed that everyone was having such a good time, but realized it was what Gus would've
wanted. Mallet gave Harley a beer and everyone encouraged her to share a
story about Gus, while Cyrus was forced to deal with the funeral director who was demanding payment because Harley's check bounced.
Outside the chapel, Bill consoled a grieving Lizzie who stood over Gus's
grave and said she couldn't help but think of Sarah during times like
this. She acknowledged that she misses being a mom; Bill was quiet and seemed distracted. They later returned to the Beacon, where Lizzie lost her cool and called Bill out on being distracted by Ava. Bill reassuringly kissed her and they had sex. After, Bill slipped out to go meet up with Ava.
At their new home, Rafe told Natalia that he broke up with Daisy so he can do right by Gus and focus on taking care of his mom. Meanwhile, an upset Daisy phoned Rafe, swiped a beer from Company and left for Main Street. She was happy to run into Sam there. The duo retreated to the roof to catch up. After Daisy told Sam about her sticky situation with Rafe, he encouraged her to travel or spend some time alone before leaving for college. Thankful, Daisy planted an unexpected kiss on Sam. They left to visit Olivia at Cedars.
Back at Company, Harley excused herself from the party and went to the restroom, where she saw Gus's ghost. He assured a tearful Harley that she’d move on and they shared a sweet, albeit awkward, moment together. When Buzz knocked on the door, Gus disappeared. After, Harley met Cyrus outside in the park. She chugged a beer and said she just wanted to get away from it all. Cyrus remained supportive, adding that Gus’s fabulous farewell shindig was all thanks to her. Harley felt invigorated and asked Cyrus to come to the house with her so they would work on finishing it together.
Harley focused on completing her home in honor of Gus. Then, she discovered a painting of a big red heart (presumably put there by Gus) hidden on the inside of one unfinished wall. She wrote "Harley loves Gus" on the heart and concealed it again before Cyrus saw. Later, an emotional Harley lost it when Gus's ghost said a final good-bye. She begged him to stay, but he vanished.
Mallet and Dinah bonded while playing a silly song on the church organ together....
At Towers, Bill informed Ava that he needs proof of her pregnancy. He later returned to the Beacon but still couldn't bring himself to spill the news to Lizzie.... At Cedars, Sam told Olivia that he has to leave town, but promised to return soon. Then Natalia showed up to visit Liv for the first time since the transplant, but she wasn’t met with a warm welcome. Liv was outraged by Gus’s death and ridiculed Nat for agreeing to the transplant, spitting, “Your God has a twisted sense of humor.” Nat was shocked by Olivia’s ungratefulness.

A real estate agent informed Natalia that the house Gus purchased was now rightfully and legally Nat's, according to the contract he signed before his death. Later, Nat checked the mail at her new home and broke down when she saw bills for Gus.
Jeffrey told Ava he was meeting with an attorney to get his marriage to Olivia annulled. Ava was surprised that he was ready to end it so soon and surmised Reva was pressuring him to do so. Jeffrey said it was the right thing to do, especially since Olivia's recovery is on track. Jeffrey later brought Reva along to the meeting, but quickly rushed off (without signing any papers) when the hospital phoned to say Olivia's refusing her medication. Meanwhile, at the park, Ava tearfully confided in Remy that she’s upset her parents are getting divorced. She decided she needs a plan to get what she wants.
Dinah was taking a walk when she ran into Matt, who was on a bike ride. They briefly caught up. Then, Dinah walked over to visit Mallet at SPD. He admitted having difficulty adjusting to his new job, was grateful for Dinah's concern and took a rain check on having lunch with her. He kissed her on the cheek and she departed.
At Cedars, Jeffrey tried to talk some sense into Olivia, who said she didn't have a reason to live anymore. Liv revealed that she knows Ava is pregnant. Jeffrey refused to let Olivia give up and called the nurse in to administer the meds. Reva also paid Liv a visit, teasing her pal for wanting to die after getting a new heart. A morose Liv wasn't amused. "The spirit is dying, but the sarcasm lives on!" La Shayne quipped. Later, Jeffrey attempted to strike a deal with Mallet, hoping his new status as police chief could help protect Olivia from anyone (read: Alan and Phillip) who'd try to harm her. Later over drinks at the mansion, Mallet told Dinah he was investigating Phillip’s whereabouts for Jeffrey. He was confused when she begged him not to get involved in the case.
Nat was working at the Beacon when Remy brought in an angry Rafe, who'd been caught tearing down street signs. The teen blamed Olivia for his behavior. Remy offered to talk to the kid for Nat. The guys then went out back, where Remy gave Rafe a pair of boxing gloves and encouraged him to take out all his frustration. Rafe seized the moment and hit Remy with all his strength.
Natalia was picking up dinner at Company when Jeffrey approached and encouraged Nat to pay Olivia another visit. Nat wasn't interested after their last emotional meeting. Rafe, however, did pay Liv a visit. Surprisingly, Liv cheered him up by claiming that Gus's last words were about how proud he is of Rafe. After Rafe left, however, Liv coldy told Nat it isn't true.
Dinah recruited Remy to make everyone believe that Phillip has left town for good. He asked for a room at the mansion in exchange. After, Remy went to SPD and informed Mallet that he'd heard from Phillip and handed over a fake letter from the Spaulding scion, outlining how and why he's leaving Springfield indefinitely. Later, Matt warned Remy to be wary about working with Dinah. When Mallet called Jeffrey with the news about Phillip from Remy, Reva overheard the conversation. Then she happened upon a curious photo of Remy with Dinah, finally putting the pieces of the puzzle together.
Jeffrey assured Olivia she’d have no trouble from Phillip.... Reva confronted Dinah about the photograph and called her out on posing as Phillip. Dinah asked La Shayne what she wanted in exchange for her silence.

Coop was ecstatic about his book deal and showed off his new credit card to Ashlee, offering to buy her whatever she wants. He went to place the card in Ashlee's purse and noticed a brochure for gastric banding surgery. Concerned, Coop asked Ash to reconsider having the operation, but she explained that she'd already visited the doctor.
Bill surprised Lizzie with flowers, told her that he had the day off and the couple decided to spend the day together.
At the boardinghouse above Company, Ava ran into a depressed and robe-clad Alan, who was off to the shower in the middle of the day. Ava gave her condolences about Gus and said she wanted to resign from Spaulding. Alan just walked away. After, everyone dining at Company was amused as Alan yelped from the scalding hot water in the shoddy shower. Later, Doris was shocked to see Alan dressed down in a sweater and offered to buy him lunch. Alan barked that he didn't need her pity and blasted her for betraying him, surmising that Phillip had paid her off.
At the mansion, Reva told Dinah she'd keep quiet if Dinah agreed to cut her in on the deal to keep Spaulding down. Reva encouraged Dinah not to spill the beans about her nasty scheme, lest Alan came after her and convinced Dinah that she was the best ally to have. Later, Dinah hired Matt to do some work at the mansion and revealed to a concerned Vanessa that she bought the Alan's house.
On Main Street, Coop and Ashlee discussed the pros and cons of the operation. Lizzie overheard and encouraged Ash to go through with it to better her life. "Skinny girls can get anything they want," Ash concurred. Lizzie departed to visit Alan, who was still depressed. She gave her granddad a briefcase with his initials on it and tried to cheer him up, saying that despite all the pain he'd caused her, she still wants him to be happy. Invigorated, Alan put on his signature suit, grabbed his briefcase and went to a meeting at Spaulding, where Reva was curiously in attendance.
Reva and Alan shared a drink after the meeting. Reva claimed that she stumbled into the meeting by accident, but that she's interested in working with Alan on his next business venture. Alan turned her down. Later, Reva returned to the mansion and gave Dinah the update, then said she was leaving town for a while.
Bill cornered Ava in the Towers elevator, demanding that she take a pregnancy test right now. Luckily, Ava ran into a pregnant woman in the restroom who agreed to help her out with the test. Then, she happily presented Bill with the positive test results and asked when he was planning to tell Lizzie.
Nosy Blake caught up with Coop at the gym, eager to discuss his book tour. They returned to Coop's room at the Beacon together. Coop got into the shower and was caught in an awkward moment when Ashlee arrived and saw Blake sitting on his bed. Ash said she couldn't go on tour because of the surgery and quickly left.... Doris was elated when Ashlee claimed she wasn't having the surgery, telling her daughter that breaking out of the "best friend" mold might make others resent her. Ashlee blasted her mom for being so cold. Later, Ashlee confronted Coop and said she'd made up her mind to have the surgery after all. Coop supported Ash's decision and asked to spend the night with her before the procedure.
Ava approached Vanessa and asked her to talk to Bill about being an expectant father.... Bill and Lizzie went rollerblading and then cuddled at the baseball diamond, where Bill bluntly told her about Ava. Lizzie was shocked.

you should have kept reva and josh together - he is so boring now with cassie - she should have been with jeffrey. i stopped watching the show after that - it isn't the same as it used to be. what happened to the good writing.
I have had enough about Olivia. She has been rude, cude, and just burnt out her time with the show. You would think, it you are going to die, you would be greatful for a second chance at life. I am on a transplant list right now and would give anything for that change. HOW SAID.
I understand dealing with death,is apart of life.I am deeply sadden about Gus's death.I didn't see that one coming!Now that there will never be,Gus & Harley getting back together.I don't have any desire to watch that soap opera, anymore!
The actors are good; the characters are confused and the scripts could be a lot better. There are several storylines going on at the same time and everyone seems to be going in circles and nothing gets completed. Josh is dull; Cassie is one brick shy of a full load; Reva is trying to be the sane one; someone should "slap" Olivia; Ava is a "bed-hopper"; there's no chemistry with Jeffrey and Reva; Daisy needs to let Rafe fade into the sunset (he's a mama's boy); Natalia needs to stop living in the past; Harley and Cyrus bring to mind "randy teenagers" and now she is in love with a ghost. Lizzie and Bill I like and there was more "feeling" when Reva and Billy were together. Please see if the writers will get to KNOW the characters before writing the storylines. Springfield is CONFUSION!
Harley belongs with Gus. Cyrus is not a replacement for Gus. Guiding Light has made a Huge mistake in killing off Gus. Natalia needs to leave Springfield, and Coop needs to get rid of Ashlee, she a pain in the backside and he's becoming boring with her as his girlfriend. No one is that Happy all the time. Bill and Lizzie ROCKS!
I totally agree with the previous comments, but I'm glad Gus got killed off, so now I will see the good actor on my best soap (AMC) Couple things I don't like on the show is all the heavy weights. Billy looks like he will have a stroke if he doesn't loose some weight and Reva should lose a good 50 or 60 lbs and Olivia is no light weight either and forget Ashlee, she should have a gastro by pass. But I still keep watching hoping it might get better.
"Gus" wanted to leave the show. Maybe he got bored witht the role. I mean once him and Harley split. There wasnt much of a love interest for him. Because Natalia is all wrong. Although i think maybe Natalia a Frank should give is a try. It might just work. But as far as Coop and Ash. I love them. I get tired of seeing all these skinny people get a man. I am happy that a healthy girl is on the show and that they are not protraying her as a digusting or shy or scared of her own shadow. I think thye just need more time a better story to work with. I do hate that they are trying to get her weight loss surgery. There is nothing wrong with her. She is beautiful just the way she is. I love Ash and i will defend her right to have a normal life (includign Coop) until the end!
I totally agree with the last comment on Ashley. It's nice to see a "normal" person for a change instead of "model types". I hate the fact that Gus is gone. Really wanted him and Harley back together. NEVER liked Natalia. I was hoping it was going to be her that would give Olivia her heart. Never thought it'd be Gus. Don't really care for the storylines that are being done right now.
OMG!! THEY SHOULD OF NEVER TOOK GUS OFF!! GUS AND JONATHAN IS WHAT GAVE THIS SHOW EXCITMENT!! I AM NOT A WRITER BUT I COULD DIFFENTLY DO BETTER THAN WHAT THE WRITERS ARE DOING WITH THIS SHOW. First they need to get Reva and Josh back together and let their children come home. Harley is all wrong with Cyrus!!! I really like Jeffrey and him and Oliva would be good together! I agree that Natalie would be good with Frank!! What happen to the terrible kid (Cassie's son)? BIG MISTAKE OF THIS SHOW WAS KILLING OF GUS! I hate that Gus is gone especially to a different show!!!.Harley,Ava,Olivia need to just be alone or get killed off. All they do is cause drama and wreck homes. I can't believe what Harley did to Marina! Ava should go have a one stand with someone besides Bill and get pregnant and end up with an STD she can't get rid of!Cassie needs to go back to stripping cuz that is all she is good at. Will needs to go! Reva needs to get back with Josh or go to Billy. Leave Ashley and Coop alone. Poor Natalia finally found her true love and look what happened. It was sad to see GUS go, buthe was so wrong with Natalie he probaly wanted out.. and the bew SPRINGFIELD is the worse change ever. They have the camera up the nose and the sound is like talking in a bucket.. The house's are shacks. The mansion looks more like a cathedral. What happened to Cross Creek?? a littl room with no fireplace mantel.. I don't blame Harley if she leaves before the show it cancelled.. Give us back Reva and Josh. And Mallet use to be Marins"s UNCLE when she was a girl.. Dont try to fix that. She needs to find someone new and her own age.... sorry but without the old style set I will be gone!!
Well most everyone is right about how the story lines are all over the place!! Now would be the best time to bring Philip back!! All hell needs to brake lose!! I don't get to see hte show but I love to read about it!!! I need more drama!! maybe the writers should go back into the old scripts so they can figure who is who and maybe get some new Ideas.... How else do they plan keeping people interested??
I have been losing interest in this soap for the last few months. I believe instead of killing off Gus that you should have replaced him. I never liked that the fact that Gus split up with Harley. I think now you should bring back Phillip as a nice guy and have Harley and him get back together. Alan should have died off. Josh and Reva need to get back together. That was the worst mistake. I am tired of everyone getting involved with the wrong people. We also need some fresh characters. I think you should bring back Shane Lewis to be involved with Marina again. Marina needs someone to love that is devoted to her a little more than a few seconds. Cyrus gain get involved with Olivia they make a good match. Lizzie and Bill are good but I do not like the character of Bill being a cheater and non trusting right now. PLEASE LISTEN TO OUR ADVICE
Killing off Gus does not leave room for a re-cast which is what will be needed when the rest of us get tired of Harley/Cyrus. She used to be an adult, and they're writing her as a ditz. keep your eye on how long it takes HER to ink a deal with AMC. In fact that (or the gimmick of all, bringing back Philip) would be it for me. I miss the GL when it was all electric: Gus/Harley, Danny/Michelle, Buzz doing anything but wiping tables, JONATHAN/TAMMY....it's you're show, P&G, but doesn't it hurt a little watching 70 years of history die from simple neglect?
I hate HARLEY and OLIVIA and AVA and CASSIE - and in that order. I hate Harley for what she did to Marina and the fact she only thinks with her hormones. I hate Oliva b/c she is a selfish b*tch who deserves to be along. I hate Ava b/c she is just like her mother, a conving sl*t! I hate Cassie for several reasons. I just wish Reva would kick her azz already! LOL
STOP WITH THAT FRONTGROUND MUSIC! Isn't it supposed to be background music and not louder than the actors. And the songs, aghhhhhh! Where's Reva, what is the storyline? Glad I started recording Young and the Restless for the treadmill workout.
Yea Stop that stupid music. How do you have music playing and you can't hear what is being said.The loud music and the awful storylines. I gonna start watching one life to live even their storylines make more sense and that saying alot.

The show is in shambles. Not only are the storylines abominable, but whoever is in charge obviously did not read any history of the characters. No wonder the stars want out!
Reva and Josh should be together forever as on the mantle of the fireplace. Cassie and Jeffery should be together. Jonathan needs to be a part of the show as he's great. Alan can go. Bill and Lizzie need to be together. Liv and Ava both can go. Boring ! Harley and Cyrus should get together and Marina is boring and should go as also Remy should go. Boring. Your writers of the show were much better years ago. Cassie's son Will should never have been on the show. Too evil. Ashlee and Coop give me a break...she's about as bad an actress as whoever it is plays her so called mother. She needs to go bye-bye. Let's get some reality back as the Guilding Light used to be #1 favorite soap and a reason to watch. Who's sleeping with who/what/when ? Who cares ? Let's just get some down to earth old fashion stories like Dallas and Knotts Landing and Charlies Angels, Dynasty. Get better writers !!!!!!!!!!!! Been a fan for a long time.I remember so great couple.Like Reva and Josh, Dylan and Bridget I think was her name, Mallet and Harley,Billy and Vanessa. Seems we always got to cheat,lie.Almost be real life.If I want real life then I won't watch TV! Soaps were a way to get away from real life! Stop going "NEW" and go back to the good old days! Seems more people wanted to watch then!

Everyone is commenting on what characters they hate but no one has said anything about the new format. They need to get someone who knows how to use a camera - I hate the closeups of people's faces that almost but not quite get their expressions when they talk. It was great to see Sam come home to see Olivia. Bring back more of people from the past. When Jonathan was on the show I was excited about watching it everyday. Bring him back, please!
I have been a huge fan of GL since I was a child. It is very sad to see that my interest in this show is fading. The story line gets worse every episode. There is no excitement or realism to GL. Its getting ridiculous. Can someone tell me if the writers of this show are apart of the strike?? I cant really understand why this show has become so bad. Hopefully plans are in the work to rejuvenate this show. As for the characters, I dont have enough time to express my feelings. But can some one tell me if it will be a routine now that after someone dies, their ghost lingers around (Tammy/Gus)? And how many times will Johnathon appear then disapper? How many times will someone "claim" to be pregnant to get a man? How many times will these women accept their family members (sister,aunt) stealing their man..Please help this show!!
Can we please get some new writers? I agree with everyone else that they need to look at what made GL the best back in the day. It is not the actors distroying this show it is the writers!I think Reva is one of the best actors on the show and they really need to use her more!I like how she is growing with her age. How about if you do this: Have Reva and Josh finding their way back together and having Cassie and her son committed to get help. Have more of Coop and Ashley on they seem to attrack the younger generation. I like Bill with Lizzie (which by the way the actress that plays Lizzie is really good) but let Bill be more honest with Lizzie about Ava. Please stop killing off people. This is unrealistic. Also, GL writer/promotors or whoever first and foremost need to do more to keep their best actors on this show. Losing Gus and Jonathan leaving was a hugh mistake! DO you not read your fan mail? Please keep Reva, Josh, Billy, Bill, Lizzie and Harley on! You need to do whatever it takes to keep them!
Oh my gosh! If the writers/producers continue on this path of horrible writing the show will come to an end! I started watching this show way back and I can't believe how bad the story lines are now. Big mistake in letting Gus go! LISTEN to your viewers GL writers/producers, stop with the background music, and the new camera shots! You will eventually drive all the actors away and then GL will be cancelled, hate to have that one on my shoulders!!!!
First of all Sandra Badger, get a life yourself! Who do you think you are to be critical of others? Are you some kind of Saint? No, don't think so. Second, to the producers of Guiding Light please get new writers. Ava keeps sleeping with every one who wears pants and tries to trap them with nothing but her body and lies. Get real. Her pregnancy scheme to trap Bill and ruin his life and Lizzie's relationship is insane to say the least. Bring back Jonathan, get Reva and Josh back together. Can we have one happy couple that last? Cassie and Jeffery were good but Oliva is all wrong. She should die off and join Gus. Why kill off Gus? Couldn't you find a better story to save him and keep him on the show? Oh Sandra, if you don't like it, don't watch it and don't read these comments. Get on with your life girl and leave us the heck alone. We are entitled to our own opinions. When you become a Saint then you can be critical of what we write. Until then buzz off.
To Sandra Badger. O.K. Miss Perfect! When did you get your license to tell others to get an education? I believe we have the right to write what we want to. You aren't God so you must not be perfect. Accept people for what they are, and people are not perfect. We all make mistakes, yes, even you. Maybe you need to read the lyrics by John Lennon - Imagine. People should try to get along all countries, all colors, all levels of education, rich or poor. When you learn to accept that you'll be a better person and closer to being perfect. Soaps are only stories to watch and imagine. Being critical of others is far less than perfect. Yes, I am human and not perfect.
I have to agree with the others.I love Guiding Light. It has always been one of my favorites, but it really needs a revamping. Reva and Josh belong together, Cassie should be matched up with anyone other than Josh. It's just gross!! Buzz and Frank deserve a more interesting strory line and Harley....shame on you. You and the old Mallett had great chemistry, try hooking up with him. GL you have wonderful actors , please give them the storylines they so deserve!
When is Coope going to prison for arson. I guess the Coopers don't pay for their crimes. Harley stole her niece's boyfriend, but i guess she is always the victim. Some man is always leaving her. She never took responsibility for when she slept with Rick and has a child for him while married to Phillip and then slept with Mallet while married to the other Spaulding son. Okay Dinah taking over the Spaulding empire, really. Let's make the story line believable. Please bring back Phillip. Eva really learned from her mother. I hope Reeva loses Jeffery. By the way wasn't he the one who killed Edmund in the hospital. When will all righteous Jeffery pay for his crimes? Is Lizzie getting her daughter back or not? Is Natalia part of the same show? Her husband died, but they made it seem as though she was the maid. Why was Gus putting everyone else before his own son? Harley made him chose her two bastard sons that don't belong to him over his own. Why is Alan everyone's punching bag? Really you
I must admit..GL has really gone down the tubes! I had a feeling when Jonthan and Tammy left it was the beginning of the end! What is up with the terrible sets, horrible camera shots and terrible music?! Also, every car is a Nissan brand? The story lines have become botched as well as the character development. I dunno...I used to tape this show and now I just delete it without even watching. My hopes were up when Jonathan came back but since he left...so has my interest! Lawd help this soap!
Halleluja, Ashlee is thinking of having the gastro bypass. I wrote a few days ago about all the heavy weights on the show and Jessica disagreed with me that she thinks Ashlee looks fine the way she is and that it's nice to see some healthy actors instead of the skinny ones. Well I think Ashlee is very pretty and a good actress, but obese is definitely not healthy. I just hope the actress has the surgery in real life and the writers incorporate it in the story line. It would be very interesting to see how she makes out. I wish her the best and good luck. She is too young to go thru health problems due to weight. I've seen it and know. Also the other heavy weights like Billy who looks like he could have a heart attack due to his big gut. He must have trouble breathing. I need to see Jeva back together!! ASAP!! The show is so boring w/o their chemistry and since Harley and Gus are history, there are no hot couples to root for! Everyone else on the show is either crazy, boring, or never gets an interesting story line!!!!!!! Somebody dies and comes back to life or fakes a pregnancy to get the man, or marries their cousin, etc. etc. But we all keep watching and keep complaining. Well Gus should come back ,they brought Dolly back as Reva remmber. Jonathan was good for the show.Him and Liz would have been good parters. Ashlee,needs some love seen with Coop like those skin girl that look sick.Its about time the show has a healthy pretty lady on the show. I can not believe that Daisy had the nerve to tell Cyrus that Gus might still be there if not for him. Has she forgotten that she contacted Natalia to get her to steal Gus from Harley? Or that Gus left Harley for Natalia?
I agree with the filming of the soap now. It is terrible. They shoot the floor and ceiling and all kinds of simple things. They need to go back to the old way!!!!!!!!!!!
My g-ma got me hooked on YR when I was in high school in the 70s. Since then I've added ATWT and GL. I have always worked full time, so only get to watch occasionally. Now I keep up through these updates and it's like reading a chapter a day from three never-ending novels! About the Sandra Badger comment: I am also amazed at the spelling and grammar errors in the viewer comments. While spelling/grammar comes easier to some than to others, and I am guessing that most viewers have already been through the education process (K-12), in our society our intelligence is judged by what we say, so spelling and grammar mistakes can make a person appear less intelligent. Therefore, if spelling and grammar are your weakness, brushing up on those two subjects isn't a bad idea-not for the soap blogs, but in other areas of life that do matter such as resumes or job apps. I had what I thought was an opportunity to catch a few GL episodes over the past few weeks and I must say the storylines and the camera work are horrendous. I've been watching GL for 30 years and I've never thought of Springfield as some small town like they are portraying it now. All those outside shots are terribly unrealistic and the constant moving of the camera reminds me of bad home movies and actually makes me a bit nauseous to watch. I've seen better camera work on America's Funniest Home Videos! Please, please do something about the lackluster writing and the camera work. I've stopped watching the show completely now because its just reached a depressing state.
Is there any way of knowing if anyone from GL actually reads these comments. They definitely should as they are 99.9% negative.
I hate to be rude, but this is a soap opera and it's always going to be unreal and and contain some confusion. I think that a majority of you posters should take a grammar and/or punctuation class instead of watching soaps all day. By the way, I still love every bit of the Guiding Light story and will continue to be an avid fan!
Killing off Gus was "Guiding Light's" decision in how to handle the character via the series departure of actor Ricky Paull Goldin. I believe Goldinwho has just joined "All My Children" (to take over the reactivated Jake Martin character)made a decision best for him. I am anticipating Goldin's "GL" leading lady, Beth Ehlers, will also say good-byeand head over to ABC. Scuttlebutt is that Ehlers may also join "AMC," and some have suggested she could take over another role: Hayley Vaughan Santos, originally played by talk show host Kelly Ripa. I could envision Ehlers in that role, or a brand-new one, on "AMC"and it would prove to me "AMC" is serious about taking back its dignity (it has lost over the past few years). My time to rant! I hate the new format. It's so stupid. The sound is bad. Now for the writers, they need to get another job! This show was the best, and I have watched for many years. But now, it really stinks. Guess I'll quit watching. The storylines don't make sense at times and now with the filming so awful, you don't recognize the once familiar places! Am sick of Ava, Cassie, Will, and Olivia. And, duhhhhh, how did Dinah get money to buy the Spaulding mansion? This show has really gone to the dogs! I give up! Will not watch anymore.
I agree with some of the comments! Here is mine! I have been watching GL since 82 and I have to say..it has gotten worse! First...Cedars looks like a spa! There is NO hotel with bamboo walls (ugly!) but besides that...I think Natalia and Rafe needs to leave Springfield (and take Daisy with them!)Cassie needs to find her backbone and stay single and run The Beacon. Show some of the rooms from Company (it is a boarding too). Also...Frank is a waste of airspace, bring a new character. Here is my biggest suggestions, MORE of Vanessa and Matt. Bring back Holly and Fletcher. Bring back Mindy and another Bauer. I want so see more of Mel (but only with ONE career) NO one in this world has more than one! Give Blake a new life (I missed her) and YES...bring back Shane for Marina...old fan favorites should do some cameos ( I LOVED seeing Sam!) Bring back India, Rusty, Hawk, Kelly, Nola & Danny (not michelle) GL should take some notes from GH...BRING back fan favorites! NOT new characters!
I meant to say..NO hospital has bamboo walls. Make it more like a real hospital. GL has been on life support for the last couple of years. I see the plug finally being taken off...writers should take a chance and listen to fans who has had years with GL and take their suggestions. I have written before and has mentioned that they should follow GH or Days and bring back fan favorites!
