Aboard The Haunted Star, Luke and Anna continued to swig and strip, and
lamented that the floating casino wasn't set up for a swing. Anna mentioned she was a spy and she could rectify that dilemma. Robin, Patrick and Tracy arrived shortly afterward, shocked to see Luke feeding an upside down Anna shots from a homemade swing. The drunken duo decided to call it a night. Back at Robin's, Anna admitted that she pulled a muscle swinging and Robin pointed out that she needn't feel older just because she's becoming a grandmother. Anna agreed but couldn't help herself. Anna worried that Robin wasn't aware of how difficult it was to be a single parent. When Patrick returned with food, Anna demanded to know when Patrick was going to marry her daughter. Robin was left speechless.
At Crimson Pointe, Logan caught Claudia eavesdropping on the family debating on whether or not she should be a part of operations — she was a woman, after all. Claudia blatantly flirted with Logan. In the meeting, Ric squeezed Trevor to give up the Alcazar piers. Trevor talked his way out of turning them over — for the good of the family, of course. Anthony just laughed at the Lansing squabbling and Johnny told his father that being guided by revenge was no way to do business. In the hall, Trevor chastised his son for bringing up those piers but Ric refused to give in to his pop. Meanwhile, Anthony warned Johnny that Ric's next move will be trying to turn Claudia against them.
At G.H., Jax was crestfallen to hear about Michael's permanent coma. Carly was hurt that both Jax and Sonny have been looking into long-term care facilities. A frustrated Carly suggested that they just save themselves time and heartache and pull the plug on Michael now. Back at home, Carly had medical equipment sent over. She announced to Jax that she's planning on bringing Michael home to care for him.
In the car, Spinelli got on Jason's nerves when he kept asking to drive.
After Jason had to slam on the brakes, he agreed to let "The Grasshopper" take over. After Spinelli recounted his and Maxie's investigation of Ian, he slammed on the brakes after screaming 'Moose!' While no moose materialized, Maxie fell out of hiding underneath the blanket in the back seat. Jason was not happy. He demanded they pull over and Spinelli search Maxie for the car keys she'd lifted to break into the SUV. Spinelli got even more nervous when Jason forced Maxie to remain behind at the bus stop, and he had to chose his mentor over his Maximista. Alone and fuming at the bus stop, Maxie ran into the bushes when she heard something coming — it was Ian.
At the Crimson office, Kate read Lulu the riot act when a layout went
missing. Just then, Kate got a call from Ian, who was blackmailing her for more money. Claudia showed up at Kate's office and grilled Lulu for info about Logan. Lulu said Logan wasn't her boyfriend, just a friend. Kate was not pleased to see Claudia in her lobby. When she told Lulu she was heading to visit Michael, Claudia accused Kate of being, "Cold and stupid." The women then argued about Sonny and Claudia ordered Kate to leave Michael alone. After the vicious tongue-lashing, Kate sent Lulu home and, once alone, started to cry.
As Spinelli opened up to Jason in the car about his feelings for Maxie,
Maxie was grabbed by Ian at the bus stop, as she tried to send the guys a
text message.... Sonny and Luke commiserated over Michael. Just then,
Claudia barged in and said, “We need to talk about my father.”

A tipsy Anna gave Patrick the third degree for not doing right by marrying her pregnant daughter. Robin was mortified and sent Patrick away for his own good. Alone, Robin then tried to explain her complicated relationship with Patrick to her mother. Robin also stated that she's happy to be pregnant, even though it was an accident. Robin asked Anna to tell Patrick not to marry her but Anna refused. Anna was concerned, as she didn't want Robin to hide from her true feelings. Anna then said she'd talk to Patrick, but got called away on an emergency, leaving Robin crestfallen.
Patrick went to The Haunted Star and shared a few drinks with Luke. Patrick asked Luke for advice on parenthood. Luke copped that he's not the right guy to talk to.
At the bus stop, Ian emerged from the bushes and grabbed Maxie. Luckily, she was able to get a text off to Spinelli. Shortly after, Spinelli and Jason showed up. Ian held a knife to Maxie's throat and Jason ordered Ian to give him the name of whoever hired him to shoot Sonny. Maxie told Jason to shoot Ian but he held off for a name. Maxie managed to break free from Ian's grasp and Jason shot Ian. As Maxie ran to the safety of Spinelli's arms, Jason rushed to hear Ian's dying words. An upset Maxie told the boys she was going to call Mac and vowed not to cover anything up. Mac and the cops showed up. Mac was relieved Maxie was okay. Maxie told Mac that Jason, and Spinelli, saved her life and that Ian confessed to shooting Michael. Mac had Jason taken downtown.
At Metro Court, Jerry planted a big kiss on Alexis. Just then, Diane leaped out from behind the bar and chastised Alexis for being a hypocrite when it comes to smooching bad boys. Alexis went to sit with Jerry and he guessed that Diane was seeing Max, shocking Alexis. Jerry then pointed across the room, where Diane was kissing Max. Alexis walked over and told her friend she was making a scene. Diane barked at Alexis that they were just having a discussion about baseball and she's not one to talk since she's, "Canoodling with Mr. Craig, the Metro Court hostage taker." Alexis slinked back to her table. As Max and Diane talked baseball, he pulled out a room key. Diane replied she liked the way Max thinks. Diane's cell phone rang, but she ignored it and the two headed out of the restaurant. Then, Alexis's phone rang. When she mentioned Ian's name, Jerry gazed at Claudia, who was sitting at the bar. After Alexis left, Jerry told Claudia that Jason killed Ian. Claudia was celebratory, until Jerry pointed out that Ian still could have given them up.
Carly cried to Jax about the bad choice she made in allowing Sonny to be a part of her sons' lives. However, she remained determined to bring Michael home and insisted she'd care for him. At G.H. Bobbie arrived and offered Carly her support, in whatever decision she made. Sonny tried to get Bobbie to talk to Carly about putting Michael in a facility but Bobbie refused and said she trusted they'd work out what was best for the boy. Sonny pointed out that seeing Michael this way at home would be upsetting for Morgan. Then, Jax showed up and voiced support for Sonny, upsetting Carly. When Sonny threatened legal action, Carly retaliated and said she'd tell the judge what a bad father he was. "You both can go to hell because we don't need you," Carly huffed. She then vowed to Michael that she'd take care of him.

As Nikolas sat in the park, Emily showed up one last time. Nik lamented that since he was going into surgery, he'd never see her again. Emily reassured Nik that when his time came, many years from now, she'd be waiting for him.
At PCPD, Alexis told Jason that she knows he shot Devlin to save Maxie: All she wanted to know what what Ian said as he was dying. Jason said nothing, then Diane showed up. Alexis told Jason the if he went out and killed whoever hired Ian, she'd prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law.
Diane and Alexis got into a heated discussion and Alexis begged Jason to come clean, promising justice without more violence. Jason still stayed mum. Alexis gave up and left. As Jason was about to be released, Spinelli arrived. Mac threatened Spinelli with bodily harm if anything were to ever happen to Maxie.
At G.H., Carly told comatose Michael that she was taking him home today. Jax begged her, "Don't do this." Their argument was cut short when Bobbie arrived to say the ambulance was there to take Michael home. At home, Carly wanted to get Michael settled before Morgan got home. Michael came home and once settled in his room, Carly pleaded with Michael to get well soon. Just then, Morgan arrived home with Mercedes. Carly told Morgan that Michael was home but he's sick and in a deep sleep. Mercedes was fearful that Morgan wouldn't comprehend the seriousness of Michael's situation. Later, Carly was saddened to find Morgan trying to wake Michael up.
At G.H., Elizabeth invited to Robin to join her for a small party in the park to celebrate Jake's first birthday. Liz invited Patrick, too, but he declined.
At Crimson Pointe, Anthony barged in on Claudia and said he couldn't wait to get out of his wheelchair. He then asked her if she put the hit out on Sonny. Claudia denied the accusation. Anthony got upset when he confronted Claudia about sleeping with Sonny. Johnny arrived and diffused the argument. Claudia told Johnny that she hates their father and they need to stay a united front.
In the park, Lulu was setting up for the party and caught Spinelli spying in the bushes. Spinelli wanted to take pictures for Jason but Lulu insisted there can be no connection between Jason and Jake, for the baby's safety.
Spinelli reluctantly agreed. Liz arrived with Cameron and was thrilled with the festive decor. Lulu was not happy when Johnny stumbled upon the party but he agreed to leave quietly.
In the O.R., Patrick thanked Nik for having surgery, as it kept him from attending Jake's party. As Nik went under. Emily appeared and held his hand and told him she loved him. A tear streamed down his face. Patrick was shocked at the size of the tumor and after the surgery, Leyla informed a worried Nadine that if Nik had waited one more week for surgery, he'd be dead. As Nik lay in recovery, he was seen clutching Emily's engagement ring, which she had been wearing when he went under.
Claudia called Jerry to meet. He agreed to meet her in the park. Jerry expressed concern that Ian spilled to Jason before he died that they were his accomplices. He suggested that she may want to run. Jerry went to PCPD to feel out Alexis. She brought I'm into the interrogation room and asked about his relationship to Ian. He denied any close association.
Claudia was unnerved to return home and find Jason waiting in her bedroom.... Patrick dropped by Jake's party and delivered the good news that Nikolas would make a full recovery. Robin was pleased that Patrick showed up.

At Crimson Pointe, Jason quizzed Claudia about what she knew about Ian shooting Michael. Claudia insisted that Anthony was behind it but Jason demanded proof, which Claudia couldn't provide.
When Nadine went to check on Nikolas at G.H., he woke up and they were stunned to find Emily's engagement ring in his hand. Nadine called it magic and said it was a good luck piece because Nik's surgery was a success. She told him that if he'd waited one more week, he would have died.
At home, Carly found Morgan trying to wake up Michael. He did not understand his brother's situation. Sonny shed a tear as he told Morgan that his brother wasn't going to wake up. Carly was furious at Sonny for saying that and refused to give up hope. Downstairs, Sonny threatened legal action to get guardianship of Michael, to which Carly replied, "You want to fight dirty, bring it on." An emotional Sonny told Carly she needs to realize that Michael is already gone and then he left.
At the PCPD, Alexis pressed Jerry to spill about his association with Ian but he insisted there was no connection between them. Jerry tried to convince Alexis that he's a changed man but she remained skeptical. He asked for another chance with her. She reluctantly agreed. After Jerry left, Alexis told Mac that Jerry knows something about Ian — and she's determined to uncover what that is.
At Metro Court, Luke asked Tracy to let him come home but she was still angry at his "alcohol acrobatics" with Anna. Luke insisted, "I can't remember the last time I cheated on you. I happen to be in love with my wife." Luke insisted that Tracy need not be jealous. She retaliated that she wasn't — she was tired of nagging him and said she was done. Tracy stood up and walked out.
Jason came by to visit Michael and asked Carly to talk. He got her to think that maybe home wasn't the best place for Michael right now. Jason said that they're both responsible for Michael's dilemma because of their past decisions.
Sonny summoned Diane to speak about getting sole guardianship of Michael. Kate entered and suggested that could be a bad thing. "You can't do that to Carly," she said. "Or to yourself." Diane excused herself to let them talk. Sonny explained the situation with Morgan and Kate replied that he can't take a child from its mother. Sonny was stunned that Kate would take Carly's side, considering their history. Kate told Sonny it's a decision Carly had to make on her own, and in time, she would. Sonny agreed to let Carly keep
Michael at home and thanked Kate for being there for him.
Luke went to visit Nikolas, who informed him that he's expected to make a full recovery. He asked Luke for advice on getting on with his life without the woman he loved. Luke said quite bluntly you deal with the loss and the pain and one day, you're on the other side of the abyss. Nik didn't believe it would be possible to move on but Luke assured him it would happen. He cited his marriage to Tracy as something wonderful and unexpected, and the same thing will happen for Nik. Nikolas thanked Luke for his kind words.
Afterward, Nikolas gave Nadine Emily's ring and asked her to put it in his suitcase. "It's time to put it away," he smiled.
Ric spotted Carly at the Metro Court bar and sat next to her to chat. He wanted to convince her to not leave the family business without a fight. Just then, they both turned their heads to see Jerry enter with Alexis.
Jason sat with Michael and apologized for not protecting him.... As Sonny and Kate kissed, Carly entered and told them she has decided that Michael would be better off at a facility. Sonny looked at Kate and silently nodded in agreement.

At G.H., Carly apologized to Michael for bringing him home, stating her
intentions were honorable.
Jason summoned Spinelli to the piers, where he confessed that Devlin didn't
name an accomplice before he died. However, Jason wanted to know why Kate
gave him one million dollars. Spinelli informed Jason that, as a favor to
Maxie, he hacked the money from Ian's back account back to Crimson's. Jason
was puzzled by the connection but vowed to get to the truth.
At the Zacchara house, Carly told Johnny that Jason doesn’t suspect their
involvement in Michael’s shooting or else they'd be dead right now. Anthony
wheeled in and interrupted. He reminded his son that Claudia has no place in
running the family business. After she left, the men held a meeting. Trevor
wanted to expand into South America with the help of the Estaban family but
Johnny didn't approve. Johnny lost his temper and stormed out. Anthony
realized he needed to do something about his hot-headed boy.
At Casa de Corinthos, Sonny thanked Kate for all her love and support.
At Couture, Diane browsed through the fashions, in awe of the material and
that fact that Lulu was so disinterested. Just then, Max arrived, surprising
Diane. “Max, are you following me?” she asked. Actually he was there to see
Kate. Kate arrived and granted Diane's request for one of the dresses. Then,
Max asked Kate to intervene with Sonny on his and Diane's behalf. Diane
thought the gesture was sweet but stated that they shouldn't involve Kate in
their business. The pair met up later at Sonny's house. They started to get
busy but Max was hesitant.
At G.H., Sonny stopped in to see Michael and found Epiphany there. He
thanked her for taking such good care of Michael. Epiphany reminded him that
now they've both lost sons thanks to Sonny’s business. Alone with his son,
Sonny broke down and apologized to Michael, "For the life that you didn’t
have and the life that I took from you." Jason arrived and informed Sonny
that Carly went with Jax to check out a care facility for Michael. When
Jason was alone with the boy, he told Michael that he can't get over Sonny
saving Kate over his own son.
As Lulu was getting Kate's coffee, two men grabbed her on the docks, saying
"Mr. Zacchara just wants to talk." The goons brought Lulu to Anthony. Lulu
stressed that she and Johnny were over but Anthony asked Lulu to be a
calming influence on his son, instead. She refused, citing Johnny's death
wish but as she left, Anthony threatened Luke if Lulu didn't help him.
Anthony assured Lulu that he'd have Luke sent to prison for money
laundering. Lulu ended up meeting with Johnny.
Jax flew Carly to New York to check out the care facility for Michael. As
she and Jax met with a doctor, Carly insisted on meeting the entire staff.
The place seemed perfect but Carly snapped that she hated the place. She
then began to tear the room apart and collapsed in tears in Jax's arms.
Claudia met Jerry on the docks and agreed that they cannot be associated
with one another. Jerry told Claudia that she is to be his pawn in his
getting things accomplished with the Zaccharas, or else he’ll go to Jason
with the truth about her involvement in Michael's shooting.
Jason showed up at Kate's demanding an explanation for why she gave Ian
money, just as Sonny entered and heard the whole thing. Sonny said there's no way Kate would do something like that. “Right?” he asked her.
